When I read this in Gosselin's latest article, Roy is exactly what I thought of:

By keeping his two first-rounders, Jones probably would still land an elite running back with the 22nd overall pick, either Jonathan Stewart of Oregon or Felix Jones of Arkansas. With the 28th overall pick, the Cowboys might have a choice of wide receivers Malcolm Kelly of Oklahoma or DeSean Jackson of Cal.

But the Cowboys may have even better options.

"There might be great value for our team with some of that collateral we have with those [first-round] picks," Jones said. "What if someone wants to give us a hell of a player that really fit and improved our offense? That's the kind of universe I can conjure up.

"We could set up here and get a premium receiver on the other side of Terrell and have a tandem."

Roy Williams >>>>Malcolm Kelly>>>>>>DeSean Jackson. Get 'er done!

R Williams, Boldin or C Johnson are all far better than any WR we could draft...most likely a drafted WR is gonna struggle and make little impact this yr and quite possibly not ever...with the 3 veteran WR's, you know your getting a proven bigtime WR

If we can't get McFadden, I would definitely be happy w/ anyone of these guys opposite T.O. But I still want me some DMac.

I would love to get Boldin, he is still under contract longer than just this year. But I wouldn't mind Williams at all. Just imagine Romo throwing to the likes of Owens, Williams/Boldin, Witten, Crayton, and handing off to Barber and Chris Johnson/Jamaal Charles. And then a defense that would star D-Ware, Ellis, Zach Thomas, James, Canty, Ratliff, Newman, Henry, Pacman, Talib/Jenkins, Hamlin, and even Roy. Wow, that would be freakin' awesome!

Word he is. But I can't complain if we get any. Chad my favorite WR, Roy the Texas boy, or Boldin the best of them all.

Lets abandon the DMAC train and get a WR.

Let's just say that Jerry/Wade/Garret would be very happy/excited/amazed/ with the team's production/charisma/season. :)

Don't you mean Calvin Johnson??

Come on, Hos. I expect more from you.
Thank you. I had a hybrid Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson.

Maybe I meant Roy Johnson.

You'll have to excuse Hos. He's got a case of the Willies (Williams) pretty bad, right now.

If they trade for Jones, I'll bet we dont take a CB in the 1st rd...might take one in the 2nd or 3rd, but wont take one in the first

I see your point, however, what other position should we get? Spending a 1st round pick on a backup running back is not a good idea IMO. Drafting a WR isnt a bad idea, although I think JJ is really trying to get a vet WR, since we already have Stanbeck as our grooming WR.

I think that JJ realizes that the league has shifted into a passing league. We are a passing team. Therefore, we will be scoring points, and having teams pass on us more than most teams. We NEED quality corners, and with another year under Phillips scheme I think our pass rush will improve.

As I've said before, this defense has a chance to be VERY good. I think if we have 4 solid corners, this defense will be top 3.

As for our offense...if we get Roy Williams for the 28 pick, and somehow land Chris Johnson in the 2nd round (be it trade up or not) this team will be very good. I'm talking going 13-3 again, maybe even 14-2 or 15-1.

But screw the regular season...if we can stay fairly healthy, there is no way that we dont make a push for a title. No way. I dont care about our past. No way.

i like roy and all hos - but bolden...i would be a very happy man with him on the team also. either way, we've got damn good value for the pick i'd say. the whole intent OF the pick.

I'm not going to piss and moan if we get Boldin. I wanted that kid in the draft that year and people told me he was too slow.

He flew under the radar. I liked him too. I thought that we should have picked up Bryant Johnson

Boy would this be awesome, unfortunately, Peter King is a complete @*&^ @#$. He is NEVER right on his "scoop." He looks the part, but he is always wrong. I dont understand how he keeps his job, think 60% of the people on this site could do and fly around and watch games and monitor internet sites and do a better job.

But who knows, a broken clock is rt twice a day right?

Counting on Jones to be around for anything is the biggest risk of all. I HATE the thoughts of bringing him here, but if it has to happen, JJ would be a fool to put all of his eggs in a "Pacman" basket. As was mentioned earlier, one night out, & he's gone for the rest of his life. Then where does that leave us? We passed up one of the cream CBs to bet on a 6-time loser?!! I surely hope not!

I don't know why in the world Millen would trade RW for the 28th pick, but if he did, that would be so phenomenol. With two Pro-Bowl WRs, TE, and RB, plus 3 OL & QB on the same offense, all we would need to do would be to target defensive players. (Once we got our "complimentary" back in Chris Johnson at #61).

Just saw pacman on cbs11. He was helping a shelter in atlanta hand out food to needy children and shockingly there were local cbs 11 cameras there!

Anyway he sat down with them and he said he thinks the odds of himself being in Dallas are currently 4 to 1 and he would make that bet. He then said that is where I want to be period point blank and everyone knows it.
