Yeah, pacman said that on the irvin show a couple of times and that is where it came from. Apparently pacman must really like it because he used it again today in that interview.

Counting on Jones to be around for anything is the biggest risk of all. I HATE the thoughts of bringing him here, but if it has to happen, JJ would be a fool to put all of his eggs in a "Pacman" basket. As was mentioned earlier, one night out, & he's gone for the rest of his life. Then where does that leave us? We passed up one of the cream CBs to bet on a 6-time loser?!! I surely hope not!

if they dont think he will play, there's no sense in trading for him

and they arnt "putting all their eggs in one basket" by not using a 1st rd pick on a CB...it makes ZERO sense to me to trade for Jones and then also use a 1st rd pick on a CB, unless they are 1) getting rid of Henry now or 2) know for sure already they are not going to even try and resign T-New...otherwise you are usuing a 1st rd pick, a premium pick on a guy who will at best be your teams 4th CB...and thats a waste

I think they'll draft another CB even if they do trade for Jones, but it wont be in the first rd...it doesnt even have to be in the second rd either

Just saw pacman on cbs11. He was helping a shelter in atlanta hand out food to needy children and shockingly there were local cbs 11 cameras there!

Anyway he sat down with them and he said he thinks the odds of himself being in Dallas are currently 4 to 1 and he would make that bet. He then said that is where I want to be period point blank and everyone knows it.
Oh great. Now he's got a gambling problem....

Or they trade the 28 pick for an early 2nd rounder in hopes that Cason falls out of the first (I don't BTW see him falling out of the first).

I think Flowers will, and I would rather have him anyway. Cason plays SLOWWWWW.

Actually, the rumor is; Boldin has the best chance at the moment to come to Dallas. That's what King states first and foremost. Why are we inserting only the name of the one we seemingly want the most and not the one the article states as the greatest chance at the moment?

Personally, Boldin any day of the week over RW, that's what I think. RW would be nice over nobody, but honestly he hasn't lived up to his hype in this league and that worries me. Not to mention he has a serious injury bug- something we'd be best to avoid with having had just come through the Terry Glenn years. Those years hurt us and I just wouldn't want to see us fall back into a similar pattern with our next #2 wideout.

While I almost always agree with you David, this time I'm not going to. Unless all the best CB's in the draft are already gone when we are on the clock I'd like to add one to our roster.

Given Henry's occasional health issue and gamble of Pacman flaming out, I don't want to risk seeing Ball or some day 2 CB opposite TNew as we head into the playoffs.

This is a pass happy league and you can never have to many good CB's. When teams go three or four wide I want someone out there who can cover long enough for Ware and gang to get to the QB.

I stole it from him from his interview on Michael Irvin's Show. It's his quote, not mine.

That's my issue with RW, as well. You can pretty much count on him missing 3 games/year. I know Boldin got hurt last year, but I don't think it's as much of an annual occurrence with him.

If we get PacMan and Roy Williams this off-season we will be adding two top 5 overall picks and will be the most talented team in football by far.

The only problem Dallas fans will have is deciding between Roy Williams, Tony Romo, TO, Barber, Newman, Witten and Demarcus Ware jerseys. We'll all need bigger closets.

If all that comes to pass this will be a season of true joy for the Cowboys faithful.

Dallas could trade down at 22 a few spots to make up that 4th rounder. They can draft Cason in early round 2 imho. Add Cason and a RB with those significant player additions and man this place will be bubbling over with raw excitement right up until the Super Bowl is either won or lost.

Here as a #2 that is less an issue, but you also have to factor in that in Detroit they have had a hard time being competitive and he has had less incentive to try to go when banged up.

T.O. would have missed a lot more games last year if we weren't on a super bowl chase.

I see your point, however, what other position should we get? Spending a 1st round pick on a backup running back is not a good idea IMO. Drafting a WR isnt a bad idea, although I think JJ is really trying to get a vet WR, since we already have Stanbeck as our grooming WR.

If we do land Pacman, don't be surprised if the Cowboys draft FS Kenny Phillips from Miami. he is by far the best Safety prospect in the draft, and I believe he was #3 on the Cowboys DB draft board that was displayed a while back behind McKelvin and DRC. If Willie continues to deteriorate, the position will need to be addressed at some point. The plan could be to slide Hamlin to SS and ease Phillips into the FS position.

As for our offense...if we get Roy Williams for the 28 pick, and somehow land Chris Johnson in the 2nd round (be it trade up or not) this team will be very good. I'm talking going 13-3 again, maybe even 14-2 or 15-1.
Why stop there? Lets go for 16-0... :D

Williams is worth more than the 28th overall. He's probably one of the top 5 WR's in the league. I just don't see how the Lions could part with him for so little compensation. Seems like a team that really needs WR help could easily outbid Dallas. A team like say, Philly?

Said that PacMan is all but a done deal in Dallas. Also mentioned that he might be able to work out with the Cowboys team before training camp if the trade is completed. Apparently PacMan would be reinstated and the deal would have been finished, except that the NFL and Roger Goodell is worried about him getting arrested again before training camp.

Does this mean that Goodell and the NFL (whoever that is) think PacMan has too much time on his hands and that his time will be so occupied by training camp that that's why Goodell is delaying his reinstatement?

That doesn't say very much about Goodell's confidence in a reformed PacMan. And if so, the Cowboys should be worried too.

From another thread.......

Lions coach Rod Marinelli has said Detroit has no intention of trading Williams, who is in the final of year of his rookie contract that will pay him a base salary of $3.724 million in 2008. The Lions have not talked to Williams about an extension, and, with Calvin Johnson on their roster, it is unlikely the Lions can afford Williams' asking price for a long-term extension.

Yes he may be worth more than #28, but if that is all you can get for him it's better than letting him go for nothing but a comp 3rd rounder the next year.

I don't want to get to hopeful about it, but IF we did get Boldin and drafted Stewart with the 22, we'd have the most physical offense in the league.

Frankly I would take Roy over Boldin since he is more of a deep threat.

And remember that Boldin has had better QBs throwing him the ball.
