Rumor: Lamar Miller also on short list?

He started All 16 games for them last season with a 5.1 ypc. It seems odd that they would want to trade him.

I watched him last year (due to FF), and he looked pretty good, also not to mention he's young. I'd take him in a heartbeat if the price is right. I'd definitely prefer him over Martin or Johnson.

Miami seems to treat the guy as an afterthought. Even did so last year with Moreno.

I'm not sure I understand.

Miller started 16 games. Moreno only played 3 games.

The discussion on the radio was about backs in general.
They said that the team is probably not going to sit still, but still plan to be patient.
They didn't bring all of those backs into VR pre draft if they had no interest.
The draft just didn't fall our way for RBs and they were determined not to reach.

Then they said if they planned to pay a back big money (like Peterson) they probably would have kept the younger Murray....and if they were gonna add someone, it would be at a lower price and/or much younger age.

Then three different guys discussed the names being thrown around...with Miller being the most talked about.

All rumor though.

Miller started 16 games. Moreno only played 3 games.

At the very beginning of the season Moreno seemed to be the guy and had 24 carries vs the Pat. But then he got hurt... and then even more hurt. But to start the season he was it.

I just don't think the Dolphins respect Miller much.

Well it sounds more like speculation from radio guys than it does actual rumor. So that's a bummer.

I would love Miller. He ran a 4.4 40 and he's a proven back. If he averaged 5.1 in Miami, then he'd be a monster here.

It's rumor...but that usually involves speculation.

Cowlishaw and Steve Dennis have both heard the name directly mentioned from Cowboy personnel people...and Dennis heard it inside the VR facilities.

That probably makes it rumor.

I'd take Miller and cut whatever RB we currently have on the roster if we absolutely had to. He looked really good last year.

I'd do Randle + Leary for Miller.

Miller as a 15-20 carry a game lead guy and have McFadden as the 3rd down/pass pro backup. And we'd still have Williams and Dunbar fight it out for the 3rd spot...maybe even keep both.

He said yesterday that he's gonna make team regret passing on him.
Not unusual to say, but as a 5th rounder, he's probably right.
The guy may end up being the main starter for Miami
