This is from another board. I couldn't find the video link to support it.

Was just watching Path to the Draft on NFL Network and it sounded like multiple teams are really concerned about the condition of BOTH of Kelly's knees and that he will not be on a number of teams draft boards come April.

Nothing but teams posturing before the draft...this type of stuff happens every year.

I actually watched that video last night as well. He did say that Kelly is falling off a lot of teams draft boards, and this is also why Kelly hasn't done any combine or pro day stuff, cause his knees are pretty bad. I did see that interview last night.

so basically kelly knows he doesn't have a lot ahead of him and is just trying to securing the highest pick possible by not doing anything?

So nice of him to do that.

If the report by Mayock is true that he has bad knees, then yes I suppose so. But it's not like there is any reason to be down on him about it, from a personal standpoint. If you were in his position and this was the difference between getting around 1 or 2 million a year and possibly not getting any money at all in the NFL probably most everyone would do the exact same thing.

If he's in bad shape and knows this is his only way to secure a couple of seasons of NFL pay then I don't begrudge him that.

He'll end out okay I think. Somebody will take him in the later rounds, he'll rehab his knees and end out being a relatively productive player.

So why would he skip his senior season and go into the draft if he has bad knees?

Probably only get worse and he needs to cash in while he can.

Interesting, but wonder how much weight it actually holds.

I wouldn't touch Kelly in the 1st anyway.

Seriously, do you even know you are spilling here? Do me a favor. Go out on the net and actually do some research on the guy before coming in here thinking you know what you are talking about. Just because some draft nik says Malcolm is falling doesnt mean crap. So what the guy says he has bad knees? Someone better tell the Bills that because everything I read right now (I just went and looked again) says the Bills will be taking Kelly w/ that pic in the 1st.

Sooooo that kinda puts a dampener on all ya'lls Kelly is out of the draft cuz of bad knees hilacrity (I just made that word up....yep).

Let him fall alllll the way down to Dallas. Fine w/ me. :D I still don't think he makes it down to us.

Fortunately for the team...you will not be taking part in it's draft. ;)

Kelly with bad knees is better then a 100% healthy, over-rated clown in Limas Sweed.

Let me guess. Sooners fan with a #4 jersey hanging in your closet?

I never claimed to know anything, was only posting based off of what the title of the thread says.

All I even said was that it looks like Kelly is trying to cash in while he can and that might be why he hasn't worked out. Didn't really think it was going to rile anyone up but I guess I was wrong.

cause maybe it was his chance to cash in before the knees buckle?

if all you know is the title on a thread on a forum, is that enough to say what you're saying about him? cashing in while the getting is good?

so you don't mind making assumptions and running someone down based of a thread in a forum on the internet - nothing else?

Slushy, it dawns on me that, you, too, are making assumptions.

You and Dallas need a nap.

If posting required definite knowledge about a topic, there wouldn't be forums.

I posted a response based on the topic at hand.

Topic being: Mayock said that Kelly's knees are shot.

Mayock gets paid for what he says, so I assume that he isn't just making things up out of thin air. There is probably a little something to it.

I guess I just don't see the problem with saying that he is trying to cash in as much as possible if what Mayock says is true.

He didn't run him down. He made a sensible observation on the basis of information at hand . . . . that maybe his refusal to work out was intended to hide something that would hurt his pocketbook. If you think that's not likely correct, say what you think the correct reason is . . . if you can do it without research, of course.
