Wow interesting.

And I'm scared, trading at the deadline is not a strong point here.

Interesting but I don't really believe it.

I would imagine someone put this out there to motivate Murray.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I like this team's approach as of late. Smart, prudent management. If you see something out there that will raise the level at any particular position, go get it. Keep it simple.

Other names to watch would be, in our estimation, Lions running back Mikel Leshoure, Saints running back Mark Ingram, and Raiders running backDarren McFadden. Leshoure and Ingram have gotten buried on their respective depth charts; McFadden is in the final year of his rookie deal.

Interesting. We had Ingram way up on the board a few years ago and if I remember correctly they flirted with moving up for him.

Teams should be looking for RBs in the draft every year anyway. I still think Murray is a heck of a blocker though. He just doesn't deserve a big contract. Few RBs do considering their limited shelf life.

There's a reason most teams use a running back by committee approach and I'm not going to dog on Demarco because the Cowboys have yet to install a decent committee to accompany him. The man's running style was a necessity with this team's crap OL and there's only a finite number of times he can run into a brick wall, his career here was always going to be short.

He's good enough to not have it be a serious need but if you can upgrade you should do it.

It'd be nice to have some serious speed at that position.

Quite possible BUT, if a RB needs something like this to motivate him, it clarifies the fact that we should be looking elsewhere for someone more serviceable and impactful. Love me some DeMarco but the lack of a reliable option at that position has even taxed me to the end of the chain. The great thing about the RB position is that you can plug another in with relative ease. It doesn't take much to get up to speed on picking up the pass pro reads in our various sets and then finding a hole when handed the ball.

Hey everyone needs motivation now and then, even self starters.

Leshoure isn't a right kinda guy and it isn't even close. Ingram has been hurt hasn't he? And McFadden is hurt more than Demarco and is probably more than we can afford. Really not sure who we would target.
