Last week Dez said franchise tag would be very disappointing. I think its the right decision because I think Dallas wants to see more - especially the consistency factor. Dallas might also be angling for more time to get correct verbiage into contract to protect them once Dez off field restrictions are lifted.

I have counted three maybe four games this year a CB who had no business taking Dez out of his game did so. Franchise tag is appropriate move by Dallas.

Use of the tag is not usually announced until a few weeks before the deadline. I have never heard of a team announcing during the middle of the season.

Naive thinking but ok. I told everyone before the year they better not franchise him. Get ready for the (I thought Dez was a good guy) comments when he starts showing how he feels about the tag.
