So what game does that mean he'll return by?
I'm pretty sure the rules changed so that 1 player can return, but they no longer have to designate in advance who it will be.IR to return or just IR? The difference is huge.

That rule was supposed to have changed to not require pre-designation, but there are still questions about exactly how it works.IR to return or just IR? The difference is huge.

It seems that players on IR before the cut to 53 may not be eligible.Teams no longer have to designate which player they want to reactivate from Injured Reserve.
It must be for a long term injury, but one single player may be re-called from Injured Reserve after sitting out.
I don´t think Tony goes to IR, they will probably cut Showers...
According to PFT (and I pause here for laughter) the rule change allows teams to make that designation after the player has been on injured reserve for six weeks, at which point he’s eligible to return to practice although he can’t play until eight weeks have passed.I'm pretty sure the rules changed so that 1 player can return, but they no longer have to designate in advance who it will be.
