Another rumor with about 95% credibility is that the season closes out with the Commanders visiting Dallas for the last regular season game at Texas Stadium.

I bet we open at least 7 pt favorites.

If Derek Anderson plays like he did in the probowl, throwing ducks all over the field, the game should be over with at half.
I like your confidence, but this game is in Cleveland, and they're a good, young football team. If this is the opening game, I believe the Cowboys win, but the line will be close to even.

That could be a tough game to start the season however the upside is I would rather play in Cleveland early in year instead of playing them when the weather starts getting bad.

Winslow, Edwards and Andersen are formidable. They will put up points.......but, their defense will allow them as well.

Don't forget joe jurevicious and a very good line.

Somebody better tell Wade that dropping our openner when the team has SB aspirations would not be a wise thing to do.

You mean like the 93 team did...when they dropped their opening 2?

Please. A loss here wouldn't end the year. Of course we're all looking for a W, for sure, but I won't be getting all antsy if we don't win on the opening game.

In fact I'd rather start something like 2-2, or 2-3 and finish up the year 5-0 (Including the playoffs) than worry about the fast start stuff. :)

sounds good to me.....easy win

I highly doubt this will be an easy win, especially if both teams come into the game with a healthy roster.

Anderson, Edwards, and Winslow are a good trio and now they have added the speed of Dante (Who, you'll recall, didn't play to shabby against us with the Patriots last year. That will hopefully change) and they have a decent run game.

Their defense was terrible last year but could be much improved up front, allowing more pressure on Romo, but he should still be able to eat their secondary up. No one there, even in a double team, should be able to cover TO.

But I expect this will be a much closer game than people might think.

Last Thanksgiving game?...

Agree that it's a lame opponent, though. Please don't let Julius go crazy on us...

I like the Cleveland opener. A very old-school opponent on a grass field in front of a crazy crowd before the weather there gets nasty. I think they regress a little this year after playing over their heads last year, and we win by 7 to 10.

Oh, gotcha. Yeah, I didn't even think about that.

Seattle is still such a blah opponent, and it seems like we play them every year.

I guess the good news is they have a long way to travel on such a short week. We should be able to give a strong conference opponent one for for the loss column.

yea, but this will be almost as bad as playing the Jets. At least you thought before the season they would be good.
