Yes sir. Don't be surprised if we sign Kevin Durant too.

This is like going to Wal-Mart and digging thru the bin of old DVD's on sale for $2.99.

Its a "goodwill" approach, one of garrett's ideas he read about at Princeton

Here is a article from one year ago:

http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2015...gency-focus-obrien-schofield-seattle-seahawks

Schofield was selected with the 130th pick in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. In his rookie year, due to his recovery, he would only appear in nine games but managed to record two sacks. His first sack was againstStephen McGee in a Christmas game against the Dallas Cowboys. In Arizona, Schofield played outside-linebacker in their 3-4 scheme. Schofield's second year was better, although he never started, he recorded five sacks and flashed his talent in the 449 snaps he played.

O'Brien would become a starter in the 2012 season for the Cards and record four sacks in nine starts. He hurt his ankle after week nine and missed the remainder of the season. That July, Schofield was cut by the Cardinals and claimed off waivers by the Seattle Seahawks.

He would appear in 13 games in 2013, but only played in 171 snaps and recorded only one sack against Cam Newton in his debut. Still, Schofield eanred himself a Super Bowl ring with Seattle that year. 2014 was a decent year for O'Brien where he returned healthy and played in all of Seattle games both regular and postseason. Pro Football Focus listed Schofield as the 26th best defensive end, but he graded positively with a +4.2 for the season and recorded three sacks.

O'Brien Schofield is looking for a bigger role in 2015 and will likely end his tenure in Seattle. Knowing the Cowboys recent trend of trying to find hidden real-estate, Schofield would make a ton of sense for the Cowboys. The Cowboys could use guy like him for their rotation, and Marinelli has worked wonders before. The potential is there, we'll soon see if the Dallas Cowboys bite. Be sure to stay tuned to BTB for all the news regarding the upcoming free agency frenzy. For my money, I would be happy with this type of signing, what say you all?

130th pick in the 3rd round? How many compensatory picks did they hand out that year?

I don't think Schofield is a real scheme fit. He's best as a stand up, 3-4 OLB type of rusher.

Another Falcon? Is nobody else aware that that team finished dead last for sacks? And that's where you want to start mining for gold?

We weren't very good in sacks when Denver came and got Ware.

Apples and oranges but what a stupid evaluative crutch you keep using.

And Ware himself wasn't proven good at rushing the passer? Seriously? That's your case?

Talk about a "stupid evaluative crutch"....

Hang your head.

Do we have enough cap room to offer Kevin Durant a max deal? Or should we save our cap space for Russell Westbrook next offseason?

Only way I remotely consider bring back Durant is if they let Claiborne walk away. They will need someone to replace Claiborne's work in the training testing the temperature in the tub.

You basically are assuming a bad defense has only bad players.

You need look no further than the Dallas Cowboys to show you how stupid that is.

No thanks, I don't trust anyone with the first name O'Brien.

The proof is in the pudding. You don't start searching for pass rushers from the team with the absolute worst sack numbers in the league.

This is illogical. This is nonsensical. This isn't true.

Continuing to say it doesn't make. It true.

In fact free agents from winning teams are also the most overpaid. See Jackson, Malik.

I am thankful you do not work in our front office.

Yeah, you keep trying to justify looking for a drink in the desert.

The last place to look for something is the place where there isn't any.

But you continue to shill for everything your Cowboys do.

It's what ya do...
