I don't care if it's not working great at first, the fact is we should stick with it. I'm sick of seeing Romo drop back and pass every play like today... thats partly why we can't protect him. The defense was expecting pass the whole second half today but yet we didn't mix it up and take advantage of that with the run.

Julius started to get a little more effective there in the second half and then we went away from him and then came the sacks again. We used to dominate the time of possession against teams, but now we always get dominated in that category.

our OL doesn't allow a consistant running game and julius seems to have developed the habit of falling into the back of our OL or into the DL and falling over.

i hate that habit.

Been saying that for weeks now.

But, the coaches go into panic mode when behind by 1 point...sorry but even 10 points early in the game doesn't mean it is time to abandon the run.....ARGH!

Yes, the o-line is also worse than the stats say, but you still shouldn't give up on it as easily as we do.

Ya, and i don't understand why. If we are down at all we pretty much abandon the running game. The big problem with that is that we are an extremely slow starting team. So basically, we never have a running game anymore.

We are at our best when we have a balanced attack, which mainly happens in the second half when we are leading. Look at the colts game... after we tied that up they couldn't stop us at all. We kept pounding it and then hit them with the pass when they didn't expect it.

And against the falcons, once we caught back up they could not stop our offense for anything.

Not only that, it slows the opposing teams offense down...it keeps them from getting into a rhythm.

We can't run the ball effectively without 3 or 4 consecutive completed passes first. If we don't get into a rhythm throwing it, there's no hope of any kind of running game just developing on its own.

We have to pass to set up the run.
