.. & good things will happen.

The one thing that really warms my heart is the fact that Murray has become more vocal about his worth in the design of the offense. When he senses the offense drifting away from its bread & butter, he is making it known. This is hugely encouraging. What I have noticed over the last several weeks is that Garrett and Callahan cannot help themselves from getting pass happy. They did it late in yesterday's game and some sideline "collaboration" reeled that mess back in. I absolutely love the fact that Murray is no longer going to sit quietly and let the offense destroy itself.

The real key to beating the Eagles on Sunday night is to run the ball early and often. Run that clock and keep the Eagles fast break offense on the sidelines. A crafty mix of run and short passes will get us the W. Every once in awhile, mix in a play action pass. It will be wide open if we establish the run. GUARANTEED!

I actually believe they will use this formula and find success. Neither team will break 30 points. The clock will be our close friend folks!

When I say collaboration, I mean DeMarco got in Garrett's face and demanded the rock. Did anyone see that?

callahan and garrett are a poor match as offensive coordinators. They are both too pass happy. They can't help but pass the ball. But they both has old play designs. Nothing new and innovative. Look at the skins formations and etc. Pick plays. 4 man bunch. Impressive. And did you watch the eagles offense last night. Creative.

They treat Murray and the running game as an afterthought, when he's probably our most consistent offensive weapon. He's also very good in the short passing game.

The cowboys should never start a drive with three straight passes. And they should run more on second down.

Murray was anything but consistent yesterday. The 43 yard run made his day look respectable. 20 for 53 is pretty pathetic production. 21 for 96 is basically on the level of being useable. The offensive line is much better at run blocking then it has been. Murray is a serviceable runner, but the passing game is where points are scored in the NFL currently.

Useable? Lol

He did have105 before the loss. About three of those carries came on short yardage situations. And a fourth on a three yard TD.

Murray was very good yesterday, far beyond "serviceable."

Almost every runner than runs for over 100 yards has 1 or 2 big runs that helps his stats. Barry Sanders and Adrian Peterson made a living out of getting 1 to 3 big runs per game while averaging 3 yards per carry teh rest of the game.

Wont argue...run the offense thru Murray.......but it should be in the form of Play action and Lead draws, in which a lot of the sets look the same........

I think the first drive of the 4th qtr (after going away from it AGAIN) showed Garrett/Callahan/Romo either finally bought into the philosophy of running or just flat out did it because of the criticism. I expect we run the ball a decent amount unless we get way down. I just wish Garrett would see how much better of a QB Romo is when the running game is being utilized. He is deadly when he goes to the PAP with the safeties moving the wrong way and the DL on their heels a little. It is worth repeating.

I saw that and liked it. I just wish he got in Washingtons face on the 3rd and goal from the 1.

That would actually require JG calling less shotgun formation. I'm all for it. One can dream.

I would like to see 80% of plays run from play-action or runs. In non obvious passing downs.

Romo is so good at disguising play-action.

Now we're talking strategy. Let's mail that thought to Callahan and Garrett.

They should not have taken a handoff three yards deep after having been stopped twice on 1st and 2nd downs. That should have been one exchange to Romo and a big push from our middle line for a QB sneak.

but your title of this post is....Run the offense through Murray? o_O How about a dive over the top or a fake dive and there is Witten open in the endzone off a 1 step drop

I totally agree that we dint need to sweep our runningback when we were in 4 down territory and had 2 plays to get 1 yard. Plow forward we even have a fb now to help.

I don't mean run every play to Murray. He should be the key that drives the rest of the offense. I, personally, thought a stretch play to the outside on 3rd & goal was a dumb call. More often than not, unless you have blazing speed in there at RB, that is going to get eaten up. It should have been a sneak to Romo or a dive to Murray up the middle to give him an opportunity to jump over the stack.

Been saying this all year and got slammed by many many here.
