I was reading some of the comments about our wonderful RB duo, and it got me thinking about when and where we use each back... I looked up the splits on each and found some good info.
Julius is yet to have a carry on third or fourth down. Which means he is getting some good rest on these situations. He is avg. 4.4 on first and 10, and 3.7 ypc on first down overall... I like the 4.4 for sure, hopefully they keep it going... One big issue that I see is that he is only avg. 3.0ypc in the fourth quarter when the game is 7pts. difference either way... Avg. 5.5 ypc. in the third quarter... Nice!!!
Barber's stats intrigued me even more though... I had expected him to have a ton of useless third down and long yardage, but was suprised to see that he only has 51 yards on 3rd and 8+. He has 100 yards on 20 carries on 1st and 10,
I didn't know he had 20 carries on 1st down... 5 of his 6 TD's have come when we have the lead, but 3 of them are in the 4th qtr...
As a whole we are 4.9ypc in the fourth quarter, this is very good, esp. when BP wants to run out the clock. Anyway, just posted it for what it's worth...
