Cobb will bean awesome RB in the draft. He was my second favorite behind only Gurely.

Think he's a good fit. A lot of the backs don't bring that push that Murray brought. They already have a nice change of pace guy in Mr. Jockey Shorts. Give me Cobb, Davis or Williams and I think you've got the final piece to a committee.

This list makes me feel a little better that Dallas hasn't grabbed a running back yet.

I'd love to see Buck Allen be the pick, but would be OK with Davis or Cobb. Ajayi might not be a bad late-round pick.

I like the idea of drafting Langford or even Allen... also, to add a RB to the discussion, Josh Robinson of Miss St.
would be interesting as well.

I never thought the Boys needed to draft a RB in any round this year. Now that the first two days have come and gone, I'm encouraged the brass agrees.

Agree on the Langford pick. I would trade up for him if need be because I don't think he's gonna last till we pick.

Yes, degenerative. Bone-on-bone, ala Ron Leary. Could seriously be good for 10 years...or 10 plays.

The thing is, I think we're going to push the running by committee approach and so he wouldn't have to carry a huge load like Murray did last year. He's got the most talent of anyone left at that position. If he's there when we pick in the 4th, I think you take a chance.

I see the Cowboys not taking a rb. Think they like McFadden, Randle, Williams, Dunbar more so than what's left in the draft. Unless Ajayi makes it to our pick in round 4. Even if he does, I think we go DT or maybe LB.

Who does this sound like? And he's 6' 1 230 and runs a 4.48.

aggressive, physical temperament. Taller and longer than most running backs, but has exceptional burst to trim the corner and go. Angular running style. Makes subtle changes of direction without gearing down. One-cut daddy on outside zone plays. Has good top-end speed. Can be a factor on swing passes and will body up in pass protection. Lowers pads and delivers a blow on the move. Falls forward and is a pile mover when pad level is right. Natural footwork for an inexperienced back. Slams it between tackles when asked and doesn't look to bounce outside. Shows patience and uses head fakes to freeze defenders in space. Hard to tackle and keeps feet churning at impact

WEAKNESSES
Upright runner. Has issues playing with leverage when challenged suddenly in the hole. Needs to see contact coming to get pads low enough. Has just two years of running back experience. Instincts and feel are very hit and miss. Runs himself into trouble and might not fit all running schemes. Doesn't make many defenders miss on second level. "Explosive Rushes" (15-plus yards) fell off substantially in 2014. Gained additional weight preseason, which appears to have slowed him. Lost starting job to freshman. Was investigated by Tallahassee police in domestic battery case, but no charges were filed. Character will be combed over carefully.

Sources Tell Us
"Disappointing to see what he became as a runner this year. My grade dropped two full rounds on him and that is before the character stuff. He still has a very high ceiling though and that's in my report." -- NFC director of scouting

Looks like he'd fit right in...

I believe the front office is content with the rbs on the roster.

Just like they were content with the OL following the Minnesota playoff loss? How did that work out for us the following season?

I was perfectly fine with letting DeMarco walk because I had figured that they'd address his replacement in the draft with it being so deep. Heck, there was even a DeMarco clone with an actual speed burst that was available that we passed on. I think this is going to be a huge mistake of ours and could very well haunt like not addressing the OL haunted us, and Romo, following that playoff loss.

Jerry said so in the press conference on the rb's. Sure with our 4th round pick we could take a rb. Then it means we missed out on a dt and will have to settle for one in the 5th not as good. Again no one here knows what they at the front office thinks.

At this point I don't think that it matters if we don't take a RB in the 4th. There will be even less available come the time of our selection.

Again, it just goes to show that Jerry at times just doesn't get it. It's just frustrating at fans knowing how close we are to a Super Bowl team and the fact that Romo isn't getting any younger and it seems as if he's content doing a half***ed job at addressing it.

For all the progress that he has made over the years it seems like when push comes to shove he resorts back to some of the earlier failed philosophies that ruined what should have been great years for us.

Run DMC is a fine backup plan provided we addressed the position in this draft with one of the top prospects but to think that we're content with what we have currently, including a bonehead that still continues to make dumb decision after dumb decision, well that doesn't exactly bode well.

I'm steamed that Cleveland took da Duke, but I agree we need to address RB on Day 3. DT, RB, speed WR and another DB would make me very happy.
