I'm steamed that Cleveland took da Duke, but I agree we need to address RB on Day 3. DT, RB, speed WR and another DB would make me very happy.

There were quite a few RB choices that I was upset that were taken ahead of us in the 3rd. I'm just hoping that we address it at some point and am hoping that our lack of urgency doesn't come back to haunt us.

I guess a part of me is hoping that if we don't address it via the draft that somehow Jay Ajayi goes undrafted and we at least bring him in for a look.

It's fairly obvious that the team feels good about Ryan Williams.
I like Cobb most (most complete back on the board) and hope they come out of today's rounds with him.
Allen and Artis-Payne are good picks at this point in the draft, as well.
Ajayi is a terribly overrated rb. The knee issue is just masking the fact that some nfl teams are aware of that/would have passed anyway. Langford is fast when gets going, but just goofy looking when he runs- no thanks.

David Cobb would be an outstanding pick, Davis would be fine as well.

Teams typically carry 3 RB's. Shouldn't you say it fairly obvious the team feels good about Randle and McFadden?
Ryan Williams hasn't had a good season since 2009. That was his only productive season since high school.
Why is Joseph Randle being treated like he hasn't earned more love than Ryan Williams?

I'd be somewhat surprised if we fail to draft a RB in the rounds that remain but much depends upon what's left when our next picks come due. I'm betting it'll be either Ajayi or Allen that constitutes our next RB candidate. Ryan and McFadden are both injury prone. There's a need.

We will be OK at RB. If there's a DT with some potential at our 4th, we should roll with him.

I think there will be plenty of options in 5th-UDFA or even some guys who get squeezed out on their current teams.

Outside of Gurley and Gordon, I don't see why people are making such a big deal about drafting a RB. Do you really think the Cowboys would stick a rookie in to protect Romo for 25 snaps a game? Having a RB that can pass protect is almost as important as having a RB with vision. I just didnt see Dallas drafting Tevin or Duke and handing them the keys to the driver seat. I think they like Joe, Lance, and Ryan's familiarity with Romo and the system to pick up the blitz.

None of those you mentioned in house are anywhere near being good blockers. McFadden perhaps but again, he's injury prone as is Ryan as well.

Jeremy Langford - I had a post a couple of weeks ago. Why not him?
Jay Ajayi
Mike Davis
Javorius Allen
David Cobb

Aside from Ajayi I cant see any of these guys really upgrading us at RB. Possibly Davis, who is a wild card that suffered through injuries, but is a compact runner with good vision. Forget Langford and Allen the cowboys need a physical runner to compliment what they have and neither brings that. Cobb is too slow, but can play a complimentary role similar to Brandon Jacobs for a season or two.

Randle definitely has improved. I'd also expect this to be a major focus for them in the offseason.

I can't imagine how you saw enough of him to make that determination. He wasn't used enough to get any idea.

At this point I don't think that it matters if we don't take a RB in the 4th. There will be even less available come the time of our selection.

Again, it just goes to show that Jerry at times just doesn't get it. It's just frustrating at fans knowing how close we are to a Super Bowl team and the fact that Romo isn't getting any younger and it seems as if he's content doing a half***ed job at addressing it.

For all the progress that he has made over the years it seems like when push comes to shove he resorts back to some of the earlier failed philosophies that ruined what should have been great years for us.

Run DMC is a fine backup plan provided we addressed the position in this draft with one of the top prospects but to think that we're content with what we have currently, including a bonehead that still continues to make dumb decision after dumb decision, well that doesn't exactly bode well.

Yeah because we've had such a bad draft so far. I mean what was he thinking getting us 3 positions of need when we already had a full stable of rb's behind the best oline in football... right?

Unfortunately for us, even though this is a deep draft at RB, there's been a ressurection at the RB position in this draft.

Lots of teams with good RBs have drafted more RBs in this draft. Like the Rams and Browns. It doesn't make much sense to me

The Cowboys have made the league trend toward power running again. It's no coincidence that O linemen and running backs are flying off the board. The irony is we didn't even keep the guy that has every team in the league thinking run run run. Whatever our strategy is, I hope we're all happy about it when all is said and done.

Will we get the next Randle, Wiliams or the next Lance Dunbar?

WHOOOP!

Seriously, love to get Ajayi at this point...like Langford as well.

Watch for a Free Agent RB.
