Thoughts?

I think it shows what an actual team does, when the QB plays poorly or has an "off" game, the supporting cast picks up the slack and wins the game. Just like you saw tonight. I'd much rather have a great supporting cast with an average/above average QB, than an average/above average supporting cast with a great QB.

I mean, just look at the teams remaining in the playoffs.

Seahawks - (Best supporting cast in NFL) Great defense, coaching, and running game. Good QB (not great)
49ers - Great defense, coaching, and running game. Above average QB (not great)
Panthers - Great defense, coaching, and solid running game. Above average QB (not great)
Patriots - Great coaching, solid defense, and solid running game. Great QB.
Denver - Great coaching, solid running game, weak defense. Great QB.
Chargers - Solid coaching, defense, and running game. Very good QB.
Colts - Solid coaching, defense, weak running game. Very good QB.

I don't think it's a coincidence the 2 worst teams are the Chargers and Colts, despite having 2 of the betters QBs in the playoffs.

Well, in my mind it doesn't change that Wilson was one of the top 5 or 6 QBs in the league for the 16 game regular season. But there's no doubt that it helps when you can pretty much not worry about having to take any risks whatsoever because of your defense and running game. Talking heads will say, "he didn't cost them the game" but when was there really even an opportunity to?

If Romo put up a 67 QBR, we would lose by 4 TDs..................Romo's supporting cast is Div 3 level compared to Rusell Wilson's supporting cast.

Brady and Roethlisberger have had a rating in the 60's or lower a combined eight times in their playoff careers.

Their combined record in those games is 6-2.

yeah. We were talking in another thread about how there probably wasnt anyone off the Cowboys D that could start in Seattle.

Also, I think Newton is developing into a wonderful QB. The Panthers look to be set there for some time.

Yup. Foles played much better against that Saints defense than Wilson but his team didn't win. Goes to show that the defense is key.

Flacco had a passer rating of 10 in one game and won against the Pats.

If he were drafted by another team with a lesser defense and not lynch he would be merely average, and besides he looks like a Taliban jihadist. Color me not impressed.

Tom Brady won yesterday without throwing a TD. He is 4-0 in the playoffs when he doesn't throw a TD.

Did you really just say that SF has an above average QB? That guy is a joke of a QB benefits from his defense. He isn't a guy that will put a team in his back and win.

Also seems that some are not taking into consideration that the weather conditions were terrible and the wind was floating the ball or acting like a wall.
