But he won’t...

Even when they are bad he likes to keep them around because he doesn’t want to fire them and give them that money.

Jerry Jones and the Cowboys do not value the Xs and Os of football.

Jerry is like some of the fans on this board who are stuck in the 90s football mindset.
Whew. Glad you didn't say anything about the seventies.

What if Kitna helps turn Dakuracy into accuracy, obviating the need for Riley? What if Dakuracy isn’t much of a problem to begin with and we’re overacting to a handful of bad misses when the overall numbers suggest the guy is pretty accurate?

Are people just forgetting how good Dak was in college?

He led a Mississippi state team with zero other NFL level talent on offense to a number on ranking for the first time ever and took Alabama to the limit.

He scored 111 TD in college in three seasons as a starter.

Hurts was an efficient passer before going to OU and making a QB an efficient passer doesn’t necessarily translate to being a good HC.

BTW, Hurts is playing Houston so he should look good and most of the Big 12 teams are horrendous on defense so it wouldn’t exactly be a big endorsement just because he throws for a gazillion yards this season.
What if Riley takes 3 straight transfer QBs and wins 3 consecutive Heisman trophies with them?

Not sold. Riley inherited one of the best recruiting pipelines in the country due to the foundation Bob Stoops built. These QB’s were already highly recruited and/or played at other schools before coming to one of the weakest, if not the weakest, defensive conferences in college football.

After Jerry hires Lincoln, I wonder who Jerry will hire to be Lincoln's OC and DC, as well as the position coaches. My guess Jerry hires an OC who is really the assistant OC as Lincoln will call plays. And Jerry will retain Richard and Marinelli on the defensive side. Probably also keep Sanjay and Colombo. Lincoln will already have a staff and team in place when he gets here.
Richard will leave as he wants and deserves a HC position. If JJ was smart , he would hire Richard as the HC.. The NFL defensive coaches/ minds are going to create defenses to counter these type of wide open offensive schemes. Richard is exactly the type of coach the Cowboys need to lead this team over the hump. He motivates , holds player accountable, kicks them in the *** when needed and knows how to scheme game plans up ... not milk toast like Garrett..He's ready to lead..and the Cowboys are primed for a real coach.

The problem is OU plays cupcakes all year so the numbers get inflated.

Tua should’ve won the Heisman last year but it went to Kyler because he just had stupid numbers in a conference that just doesn’t believe in defense.

Lincoln RILEY is awesome though.. No denying his ability to call an offense.

Have to consider the competition but Hurts is a good QB, Saban didn't think he was as good as Tua.

If Booger wants that combo, what's he going to have to give up to get Hurts to come with Riley, the ole Kingsbury/Murray move, which is just an experiment at this point. Od does he hope Riley can turn Prescott into a top 10 passer?

Don't start with the SEC nonsense with me.

Kentucky, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Florida, A&M, Auburn, LSU most years......

So overrated. Those are middle of the pack teams in other conferences, too.

SEC looked bad this weekend.

Some SEC teams looked bad, AL, AU, LSU, A&M and GA didn't. FL won but looked bad in doing so.

It's like every season, going to have to get to at least 4 games in before we know how this is going to shape up but that LSU-UT game will give us a good glimpse and whoever scheduled Clemson as their out of conference game for A&M is a masochist. I know Fisher has a relationship with the ACC but I would have taken Duke over Clemson. A&M's schedule is brutal.

Saban cost Tua the Heisman by pulling him early instead of letting him pad the stats like Riley let Murray. That will not happen this season. Saban needs to recruit another 5 star QB and costing Tua the Heisman won't do that.
