Does anyone have any info on this guy? He played on a bad team but I think he looks like a solid prospect. The value for Griffin in the 5th-6th round is much better than a Nassib in the 2nd, IMO.

Depends on how they turn out. If Nassib goes in the 2nd and has a great career, helping his team win, he's great value. If Griffin goes in the 6th, but flames out, he wasn't good value. Doesn't really have much to do with where they were drafted.

The only Ryan Griffin that I have even heard of was Ryan Griffin, the TE from UConn (and not highly rated either)

Here's a blurb i found on him about his pro day:

Ryan Griffin, QB (6-foot-3 7/8, 221 pounds) - Griffin ran the 40-yard dash just once, doing so in 5.15 seconds. He had a 25 1/2-inch vertical jump and an 8-foot-5 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.75 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.62 seconds. Griffin earned MVP honors in the Texas vs. The Nation All-Star Game. They said Griffin had a nice workout at Tulane’s pro day. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com

Doesn't sound overly athletic, but more of a pure pocket passer. I do like that he showed up to his pro day at 221lbs. On a lot of sites, he was listed at 6'5" @ 205lbs.

Yea, the scouting report on this guy is that he is a pure pocket passer. He would get hurt and hurt bad behind our offensive line. We need an athletic QB that can make people miss on his own without blocking, like Romo does.:D

Draft him and let him learn for three years. By then I hope we will have drafted/acquired more offensive linemen.
