Perhaps we could move Lance to the PS, and bring in Tannehill as our 3rd string QB?

You tell 'em, Mickey! In a league literally starved for even decent QB play, there’s a reason why Ryan Tannehill is still available.
We have like 14 running backs maybe Roger will make an exception and let us an extra one without getting flagged for too many players? Like put 13 on the field kind of thingThis team better go get a running back before they start looking for a 4th qb lol.
If you got 14 you ain’t got 1 lol.We have like 14 running backs maybe Roger will make an exception and let us an extra one without getting flagged for too many players? Like put 13 on the field kind of thing
Basically. I never thought the guy was that good to begin with. Not a bad QB but just a guy.In a league literally starved for even decent QB play, there’s a reason why Ryan Tannehill is still available.
Why didn't they try to take him last year? Never thought about this happening, so we really have to keep all 3 on the game day??The moment Lance is moved to the PS he will be signed by another quarterback desperate team to be their second or third quarterback on their active roster (to justify the PS signing).
We have a veteran backup already in Rush.
If the Cowboys were not happy or confident in Rush then they would simply replace him with another player rather than sign a backup for the backup quarterback.
Precisely my point sadly....my 15 year old Daughter wears an Emmit Smith t-shirt and is sans clue its meaningIf you got 14 you ain’t got 1 lol.
RT was a decent QB who needed a strong running game to be effective. And he rode that running game all the way to an AFC championship game in 2019. Tannehill isn’t as good as Dak, but his FO knew he needed a running game to be effective.Basically. I never thought the guy was that good to begin with. Not a bad QB but just a guy.
Lance was on the active roster every week last season but was usually listed on the "inactive" list but designated as the emergency quarterback in case they lost both Prescott and Rush in a game. Why didn't they try to take him last year? Doesnt sound like he would fit in well here with one of the worst running games in the league lol.RT was a decent QB who needed a strong running game to be effective. So how could they steal him this year thenLance was on the active roster every week last season but was usually listed on the "inactive" list but designated as the emergency quarterback in case they lost both Prescott and Rush in a game.
So Lance was on the 53 active player list but not one of the 48 active players on game days.
They kept Vaughn on the active roster last year but listed as "inactive" some games last season to avoid other teams signing him during weeks when they did not need him active.
The OP said, "Perhaps we could move Lance to the PS, and bring in Tannehill as our 3rd string QB?" which is the topic of the thread that I replied to.So how could they steal him this year then
Gotcha my badThe OP said, "Perhaps we could move Lance to the PS, and bring in Tannehill as our 3rd string QB?" which is the topic of the thread that I replied to.
I responded that if the Cowboys move Lance to the Practice Squad (which he was not on at all last year) that a quarterback desperate team would sign him to their active roster as their #2 or #3 quarterback.

Completely forgot about him. He's good enough to be a backup somewhere. On another note, I saw the Falcons signed Nathan Peterman to their practice squad, how the hell is that guy still in the league?
