I have a feeling that 52 is the "official" number of sacks that Randy had, but 111 is the REAL number of sacks that he had. For the first 7 years of his career, sacks weren't an official stat.

Here it has him with 52. Considering sacks weren't an official stat until '82, I don't think there was any way that he OFFICIALLY ended up with 111 for his career. He was great, but he didn't rack up 111 sacks in the mere 7 years of his career that the sack was an official stat.
