kickers available- and have not been from Training Camp on. No one with any kind of a track record that we could have got that has a better percentage then Cundiff. even before camp, there was no one that was PROVEN better.
There are only a half dozen really good kickers in the NFL anyway, and pretty much all of them are tied up to long term contracts. FA this offseason- GET A TOP KICKEER if possible. 3 GAMES THIS YEAR we could have won with better kickers. Despite the O line and our other problems, if we had had a top kicker we would be at least 10-1 right now. 9-2 at the absolute worst.

Everyone needs to remember that Cundiff is coming off an injury and he is probably still trying to get into game shape. Yeah, I know he's just a kicker, but I'm guessing the mental aspect of the game is more important than the physical aspect. He'll be fine. Granted, he missed an FG that would've kept us out of OT, but that can't be changed. I would certainly trust him more than Cortez or Suisham.

That is the point- Cundiff is the best that we can do now. And, sadly, probably has been that way all year.

I somewhat agree...but...had he made that kick, I believe Denver would've played "harder" to get the tying FG to go to overtime anyway. Who knows, the Cowboys may have played "prevent" like they have in the other losses.
I'm not defending Cundiffs miss, but I believe that he is our best option for the rest of the year.

I believe if he makes that kick our D would have been pumped and shut the Broncos down. Plummer would have been pressed to throw and that would have played right into our hands. Our D had been doing a great job on them all day anyway. HE HAS TO MAKE THAT KICK..

Vanderjagt and Vinatieri (sp?) will be available next year. I doubt Vinatieri leaves New England, but Vanderjagt can be had.

Although I hoped that could've been the case, it wasn't vs the Seahawks or Commanders.

Vanderjagt would be good- no matter how much he costs. How do you put a price on 3-4 games a year?
