The treatment Jerrah gave him will never be matched, so there's that .
He got pampered in Dallas .
What is really depressing is the fact that that episode could be held every week on a different pro athlete for years, and would never run out of content.
Exactly. I always hope for the best for anyone who wore the star.
They are kids who tend to make poor decisions
I’m not sure giving me millions of dollars at 22 or so would have been a good idea lol
They have to be smart and surround themselves with the right people but at that age it’s very hard
Yup, I loved his passion, and he represented the star well.
It's crazy how fast his career faded. It felt like it went from blossoming to dead overnight. He was sure fun to watch for those years in Dallas though. Romo and him had a sweet connection.
I'm not sad for Dez, I'm proud of him. A kid from Lufkin, TX becomes a first round pick, star NFL WR, makes millions of dollars. What a life!
I get that he still has a desire to play and probably can be a backup receiver but every NFL player has a shelf life. Players that love the game and can't imagine their life without football will continue to seek opportunities until they no longer exist.
I don't feel for him. Don't know him. He needs to move on.
If he had learned route running early on he'd be different. What's he gonna teach? Athleticism?
Something tells me Dez lives the Entourage lifestyle. He has way too much time on his hands to Twitter.
Dez was never a fall guy. Lol. This idea is really absurd. If Dez was a fall guy for the Cowboys he would have another job by now. This thought is absolutely delusional.
He knows how to care for a monkey.
I kind of find it bizarre that people are ragging on him. He was a stud for us and worked hard. People are speculating about money etc but overall he’s still working his tail off. I’d worry the guy was out of his mind if he was letting himself go and talking about returning. But he’s actually busting it to stay in shape and to get a shot. What’s wrong with hard work?
NFL has a retirement system for players w/ at least 3 years of service.
Financial counseling is available and encouraged for all players.
I saw some place mention he had business interests
Dez had talent....Noah's on the team because he hasn't leaked the pictures he has of Booger.
Dez's downfall was on him, he didn't have the abilities to make himself an elite pattern runner and that hurt him because he couldn't get separation against the good corners in the lead.
I was going to say "Imagine how his career might have turned out if he had caught the ball."
