ARLINGTON – Ernie Sims was so bad Sunday that Monte Kiffin was forced to turn to turn to a demoted linebacker for relief.
Suffice it to say, Bruce Carter made the most of his opportunity.
Carter finished with six tackles after replacing Sims in the second half after Sims missed several tackles during the Vikings’ 11-play, 79-yard drive late in the first half.
“Ernie got the start and Ernie played a lot in this ballgame, but Bruce got his chances and he made some plays in this game,” coach Jason Garrett said. “The best part about him is his demeanor and his spirit. We saw a little of Bruce Carter out there today, which is good. Flying around, making plays, having an impact on the game. He did a really good job.”
