Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne called foul on being flagged for pass interference in a third-and-10 situation against the Chiefs’ Donnie Avery late in the game.
The infraction gave Kansas City a first down, aiding them in running all but 16 seconds off the clock.
“I thought I was clean on the play,” said Claiborne, who played despite dislocating his left shoulder last week. “I feel like the flag came in a little later. The play could have gone.”
Asked why he was playing Avery so aggressive when the play wouldn’t have resulted in a first down, Claiborne said, “It’s man-to-man. There is no way not to play aggressive when it’s man to man.”
