PHILADELPHIA – DeMarcus Ware’s streak is over, and that’s probably a good thing in the long run for the Dallas Cowboys.

Ware will sit out Sunday’s game with a quad injury left over from last week’s win against Washington, snapping a streak of 134 straight games.

The Cowboys will need Ware down the road, so he could use this day off. Remember, he’s also dealt this season with a stinger, back spasm and cramps.

Bottom line: The guy needs to get healthy. Even if the Eagles win today, they aren’t going to run away with the NFC East. This race should go down to the wire, meaning the Cowboys need Ware healthy to chase the likes of Drew Brees, Jay Cutler, Aaron Rodgers and Eli Manning down the stretch.

The other players out for Dallas include DeMarco Murray, Devonte Holloman, David Arkin and Darrion Weems.

Kyle Wilber will replace Ware in the starting lineup, while Joseph Randle will take Murray’s place.

Mike Vick is inactive for the Eagles, so it will be Austin Westlake’s Nick Foles at QB for Philly.
