OXNARD, Calif. – Defensive end Tyrone Crawford was carted off the field during Sunday’s afternoon practice with what appeared to be a lower leg injury.
The 2011 third-round pick was in obvious pain as he left the field less than an hour into the team’s first full-scale practice of camp.
Crawford was expected to see time at both end and tackle this season. No official word yet from the Cowboys about his status.
The defensive line was already thin with four-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jay Ratliff out with a hamstring injury he suffered during Saturday’s conditioning test.
