ARLINGTON – In a preseason finale featuring mainly backups for both teams, the Houston Texans enter the second quarter with a 7-0 lead over the Dallas Cowboys.
The Texans drew first blood on rookie Dennis Johnson’s 5-yard run. The Arkansas alum’s burst up the middle capped an easy six-play, 87-yard drive.
Kyle Orton started the game at quarterback for the Cowboys but soon gave way to third-stringer Alex Tanney.
The only offensive starter on the field for Dallas was right tackle Jermey Parnell. None of the defensive regulars are playing.
