IRVING – Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is confident his team won’t have a letdown Thursday against the Oakland Raiders.

The Cowboys are coming off an emotional win against the Giants and have little time to rest. They will also still be without middle linebacker Sean Lee and likely two other players who injured hamstrings against New York: cornerback Mo Claiborne and receiver/return man Dwayne Harris.

Still, Jones is counting on the Cowboys getting up for the Raiders (4-7).

“It’s such a short period of time, you don’t have time for a let up or a let down,” Jones told Dallas’ KRLD-FM on his radio show Tuesday. “You just got to go out there and get that soreness out. We had a full practice yesterday (and will have another) today. You got to get that soreness out and you should have part of your assignment practiced earlier in the year, sometimes as far back as training camp because you know you’re going to have the short week and you need to get ready to know your opponent, which in this case is Oakland.

“I don’t see a let down. I just see a workman-like go back, get out here, get ready to play the game, try to get physically ready to go and be ready.”

The good news for Dallas: It will have 10 days after Thanksgiving to prepare for playing at Chicago on Dec. 9.

The Cowboys, by the way, are 28-16-1 all-time on Thanksgiving, but they need a win to prevent consecutive holiday losses for the first time since 2000-2001.
