SAN ANTONIO – For the second time in his career, the Cowboys’ Sean Lee is the NFC’s defensive player of the month.
In four games in October, the linebacker from Penn State notched 52 tackles, three stops for loss, four pass deflections, three interceptions and two pressures.
Lee capped the month with two interceptions in last week’s 31-30 loss to Detroit.
“Fantastic player, he really is,” coach Jason Garrett told reporters in Irving. “He’s involved in virtually every tackle, and he has such a nose for the football when they throw it. He anticipates situations, and he’s one of those guys who’s always around the ball, so good things happen.”
Lee also was the NFC Defensive Player of the Month in September 2011.
