A diehard Hawks fan who prematurely got a “Seahawks back-to-back Super Bowl champions” tattoo plans to keep his ink, even after Seattle’s heartbreaking loss Sunday in Super Bowl XLIX.

The Kirkland native who now lives in Jacksonville, Florida, got his optimistic tattoo in December, before the Seahawks’ run through the playoffs. After writing about him last week, we wanted to catch up with him Monday after Seattle’s excruciating loss in the final seconds when Russell Wilson was picked off by New England cornerback Malcolm Butler in the end zone.

“It’s been rough for me this morning,” O.C. told seattlepi.com. “I was pretty devastated last night. I fell to the ground after that interception. … I’m obviously devastated, but I wouldn’t change anything that I did. I had fun with it.”

“Obviously I’m gonna keep it. I already threw away the receipt,” he added, laughing. “I don’t regret getting it. It’s been a fun ride. I like to take risks.”

The 43-year-old was planning to fly to Seattle this week for a potential Super Bowl victory parade, but of course now will be staying in Florida. He has enjoyed the media attention over the past week, appearing on the local Jacksonville news and even getting a write-up from the Huffington Post.

He was light-hearted about the whole thing Monday, and said he has no regrets. In fact, he was cracking jokes about his arm tattoo even after Seattle’s gut-wrenching loss in Glendale, Arizona, and posted a couple Vine videos of him pretending to remove the ink.

“I could tattoo the word ‘almost’ above it,” O.C. joked. “Nobody can question whether I’m a fan or not.”
