As a skins fan, I'd fear you having Brees more than Bledsoe. While he still has an arm, he's past his prime.

Brees doesn't have the arm, but he's proven that with good weapons, he can get it done.

Drew Brees' qb ratings against good defenses last year...

Dallas - 65.1
Denver - 70
Pittsburgh 73.4
Philadelphia - 77
Washington 35.7
Indianapolis 74.7
Kansas City (they suck but this is the second game) 65.3
Denver 69.9

His 80+ games were against
New York Giants (week 3)
New England (week 4)
Oakland
Kansas City
New York Jets
Buffalo
Oakland
Miami

Of which he was above 90 7 times. Above 100 6 times.

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports free agent QB Drew Brees (Chargers) reportedly is seeking a contract that will pay him $10 million per year and he is firm in those demands. The New Orleans Saints are the closest to meeting Brees' demands. The Miami Dolphins aren't offering as much in guarantees as New Orleans, and they seem to have dug in on not doing that with Brees coming off shoulder surgery.

Speaking of past his prime, how's Mark Brunnell.

especially with his shoulder injury. ask Chad Pennington how those turn out.

Penningtons surgery was totally different. Brees had a scope to fix tore cartilage

ok, I didn't know that. I heard that it was worse than that. Heck, my wife got her knee scoped a couple of weeks ago and she's fine.

Its a little worse than a knee scope, and he actually tore the cartilage but it a scope job and his doctor James Andrews is the top Doctor in the country with sports inuries and the Doc says he is ahead of schedule and will be fine.

if brees lands in NO, they will trade with us for Romo given the uncertainity with Brees being ready for TC, learning a new system, and you always need a back-up who can start in a pinch. If they take Brees they trade down to take D'Brick or AJ Hawk and then give us their extra second or third round pick (if we want it that is). of course if we truly believe that Romo is the future of the franchise we would not do this deal. but with DB being here for at least 2 more years and this being Romo's last year I think it may be a win win for both sides.

Not exactly. He tore his labrum and it was disclosed much later that he had a partial tear of his rotator cuff.

Say Brees does in fact sign with the Saints, especially after the urging and counsel of Parcells... I can't shake the feeling that Jones and Parcells have something up their sleeves with the Saints come draft day. I am curious to hear others opinions on a possible trade with the Saints on the first day of the draft.

What kind of signing bonus is she looking for?

Bledsoe is how much younger than Brunnel?

Brees in Dallas at $10m and no Ladainlin and our Line?
Bledsoe is to be feared once we shore up Line. anD AT $3M in salary - baragin QB.

Just read it again here today, Romo/Brees to Saints. Why is that a constant theme? Why not Henson to Saints? If Payton is such a QB guru - why doesn't he want to get the Henson from us?:

Why is he shying away from drafting another high profile Pedigree QB project ala Henson? And bringing in a slightly above average Vet at a $10M A year cost?

These moves of Brees, Romo to Saints will drastically alter round 1 draft and signal Dallas is ready to sign a Vet backup and that they are sold Henson is ready NOW.- Maybe the Tampa workouts have shown that Henson is ready NOW and Romo is expendable now. We can also draft a QB day 2 in draft.

This also shows why it would have been wise to extend Bledsoe's deal 2 weeks ago. Bree's signing radically changes QB market forever.

What? This does not impact Dallas and Bledsoe. There is no reason to extend Bledsoe's contract right now.
