Let the fun begin

AINTS DUMP DHANI
A league source has advised us that the New Orleans Saints have terminated the contract of linebacker Dhani Jones.
Jones, who previously played with the Giants and the Eagles, signed with the Saints earlier in the summer.
The seven-year veteran will not be required to pass through waivers, and can sign right away with any other team.
Other players released by the Saints on Friday include tackle Ben Archibald, receiver Derrick Doyle, center Brian Ferentz, tight end Ronnie Ghent, DT Rodney Leisle, OT Rob Pettiti, DE Scott Scharff, and DT Brandon Villareal.

Just saw that.

Here comes the hate.....

Personally, I don't (and never have) hate the guy.

I just think he sucked (and apparently still sucks).

I'll say that his dad was a really cool guy when he posted here and took a lot of abuse he didn't have to. So I hope things work out for Rob and the Pettiti family.

I like Pettitti. He busted his tail for the Cowboys & deserves a lot more respect then many give him. His only failure was that he didn't have enough talent at least at this stage in his football career to help either our team nor NO. Wish him well in his football career and any other career he chooses to follow. Also think his father had a lot more guts, character & class then some on here have shown. And if this gets me thrown off this board so be it.

I really appreciated that his dad posted here. Some folks were very disrespectful of the guy and that was a shame.

I was thinking the same thing.

I'll always root for our 6th and 7th round draft picks because few people give them a chance. Hopefully something good will happen for Rob.

I was a Petitti fan going into that draft. He just seemed to struggle in the bigs. Happens

Not a suprise to me Dhani Jones could not beat out the Saint LB core. Its a solid unit.

Dhani Jones is a pretty solid player... except for the fact that he has absolutely NO instincts.

So yeah I kinda saw that coming.

Pettiti will find another job somewhere.

Out of curiousity, what in this last post did you think might have gotten you thrown off the board?
