Wow!

I think it both helps & hurts both clubs.

I don't see how this hurts the Seahawks. They suck at drafting in the 1st round, they got one of the best receiving targets in the league.....Saints lose here but atleast they got a 1st rounder in return for Graham. I think it helps both clubs.

@SouthernbeLLSU: Why can't the Saints trade Rob Ryan instead of Jimmy Graham!?

Graham doesn't make sense in a run-first offense and without a bevy of good receivers.

big.... him baldwin and the kid who had the breakout in the super bowl are some large targets.

They're not very good though. Seahawks receiving core is full of guys who made some big plays but weren't consistent. They'd suck all game and then the 4th quarter would come than they'd show up. Graham fixes that.

I can see both sides...maybe even more for the Saints.

The Saints are really hurting cap-wise

They free up the 10mil/year from Graham
They get versatile, 28 year old, 2 time Pro Bowler in Max Unger
Plus they get an additional 1st round pick this year.

That's not too bad at all

Max Unger was the only OL on Seattle that played well last season and is certainly one of the better centers in the NFL.

That hurts Seattle.

They were run first because they were forced to be. Russ needed someone who can bail him out consistently and that's Jimmy Graham. He's always a mismatch. I think this is a GREAT MOVE. Seahawks should've put a bid in on Brandon Marshall.

Graham was originally tagged as a franchise player last year, but the Saints later worked out a 4-year deal. He was under contract, IOW.

That's right. That's why I was asking him why he thought it was 2 firsts.
thanks anyway

Max Unger and Seattle's 1st for Jimmy Graham and a 4th. Saints will have two first rds and a solid center while Seattle gets a very good TE. The only thing is who will block for Wilson in order for him to get the ball to Graham.

Love the trade for the Saints. Graham's body language when they reduced his time late last year was awful. Plus, he doesnt block. He's a punk. Unger is terrific and they get a 1st, ven though it's a late 1st
