Saints/Vikings game thread

i have decided it would be better if the Vikings win this game as they are very likely to lose quite alot more this year.

Same here. As the game started, I found myself rooting for them. The Saints love is just too sickening to take.

Heartley was making kicks with ease in the playoffs last year...looks like the magic's worn off! :lmao2: Kickers are so inconsistent. There's about 3-4 good ones in the league and the rest are all up and down. Nick Folk will probably be a Pro Bowler again this year :laugh2:

Is it just me or has the level of quality in terms of kickers really decreased over the last few years? Just guessing but maybe more and more teams are going on the cheap with kickers like J.J. did.

On the cheap like JJ, huh?

Jerry brought in an expensive kicker, a veteran, who retired as the most accurate kicker in NFL history... Mike Vanderjagt. That didn't work. Then we turned it over to a FA kicker we signed midseason.

Then we drafted a kicker and tried to groom him. Folk.

Then we drafted ANOTHER kicker and carried two.

Then we cut ties with Folk and signed another kicker, carrying two.

Now we turned it over to 1; a draft pick.

Jerry spent money; Jerry spent picks.

That's hardly being cheap.

Here are details to deal Peter King reported on: Tom Brady's four-year contract is worth $72 million, including $48.5 million guaranteed.

Breaking News! Tom Brady was in a second car wreck this morning, this time he is seriously injured! Good thing he signed his contract last night! :laugh2:

sloppy boring game, if the cowboys played like this they'd be getting killed. Media will call this great football.

Yep. Both offenses couldn't score but the media will say how amazing they were.

ESPN....."it was a defensive battle"

I'm a defensive kind of guy, but that *was* boring.

Favre is throwing to Greg Camarillo and Greg Lewis? Really? Greg Lewis?

Lowest scoring Saints win since December 28, 2003 - Week 17 game vs Dallas Cowboys 13-7

If i'm a vikings fan i'm ****ing scared to death. outside of ap that offense was terrible.

Sorry, I stand corrected. For some reason I seem to only remember scrubs like Cortez and Seder and not more recent history.

Favre is playing pretty well. The Sydney Rice loss is huge. They have absolutely no vertical passing game without him. They are completely dependant on the 10-14 play drive, because they can't pick up yardage in big chunks.

yeah, ok

:lmao2:

Jesus, that was a pathetic outing by the Vikes.

Really wasnt impressive for either team...Saints had two good drives

Favre looks like toast to me.

In the NFL, it usually takes 2-4 regular season games for the offenses to catch up with the defenses. Anyway, that's pretty much been my experience.

I thought it was a good game.

Neither of those teams scare me tonight. If the Cowboys play like I know they can play, we could go all the way.
