You can tell from Hardy's Twitter feed that he wants to resign in Dallas.

I'm sure he does... Jerry has a tendency to overpay, and the national spotlight always shines the brightest in Dallas.

Sure, but RBs are fairly easy to replace (remember DeMarco was a 3rd round pick). DEs with double digit sacks are not - and they very rarely hit the FA market in the first place.

I would love to resign him too but not sure if he would cost too much. I think FO will try. Lets hope he's not trying to break the bank ( I would I were him).

I think they can get a deal done if Hardy isn't unreasonable. The team has shown restraint in not handing out Marion Barber or Miles Austin contracts, but has still retained the star players at critical positions like Romo, Dez, Tyron, etc.

Also Hardy may feel some loyalty to the Cowboys for signing him during the media storm. There are a lot of valid criticisms of Jerry Jones but he is a loyal guy and the players get that. Josh Brent was probably given a good salary to load the video machines or something, but Jerry did it to help out a former player who didn't have a lot of other options. Players see that and they also see the Cowboys as a team on the way up with a window to be in the Super Bowl in the near future.

If Marinelli thinks he's worth the investment I'd almost be amazed if we let him get away.

Marinelli's personality is such that he is doubtful to say how much a player is worth. He probably just tells them how he ranks compared to other options and leaves it to the front office to decide.
