Absolutely. You could draft for your needs then sign a FA, for possibly less money.

u need to do your part to attract top FAs ;)
lol

but that would help all teams... (not you, the strategy)

poor bow does not know what he got himself into :lmao2:

Whatever Waldo, I was just agreeing with the OP. Obviously teams must do their part and use strategy. Jerry has a ton of resouces available, more than most owners. Whether he uses it to an advantage is beyond my control. Poor putty.

I literally have not read a single response in this thread I've only looked for Adam's name and until he responds I don't care what any of you say

wow i dont even think Adam gets into these cap discussions any more...
People mock me and take shots at me every day but I try to answer every question directly

I have read on it a lot and enjoy all the twists and tricks...I learned a lot from Adam and OTC and from other posters here like XWalker and Bluefin and others

There used to be something called the 30% rule that prevented contracts from being too back-loaded but I don't know if that still applies with the new CBA.... ... Adam would know better

There still is the 30% rule, but that applies to increases in uncapped years for contract that extend from capped years to uncapped years. There are restrictions for how much rookie contracts can increase in the second and third years, but not for veteran players.
