Salvation Army Kettle

If they were warned, that's different, but the celebration rule does not have anything in it that would penalize a player for doing what Elliott did, and there have been plenty of celebrations that have been overlooked that actually violate the rule (such as celebrating on the Cowboys' midfield star).

I agree ... can't remember the game but remember a player jumping into the stands and getting on the TV camera ... without a flag.

I'm hoping the league at least gives some kind of explanation for why it was a penalty. If the teams were warned not to use the kettle, then the call is understandable. If not, then the call was for something that does not violate the rules.

Bad penalty jumping in....led to a td...these guys have to be smarter than that....while I like celebrations after tds I would rather be doing celebrations after wins

Being the youngest team in the NFL comes at a price............child's play and monkey business.

Historically, we've been flagged for the strangest things. I believe Witten handed a ball to an OLineman who spiked the ball against Tennessee or somebody. It ended up costing the game.

I remember after Zeke jumped in the kettle, the team was warned that another celebration involving a jump in the kettle would be flagged.

Now whether or not it should be- no I don't think so at all.

The point is we are no position to leave a team with any extra advantage. I knew we would clamshell the offense and try to get out of here.

We did, but a few calls the other way and we embarrass ourselves again in front of the whole world.
