Gurley played in 11 games... Zeke will start on day one, if they draft him... he'll easily go 1300 for his rookie season (I think more like 1400-1500)... plus he'll likely have 300 yds receiving... the offense will return to what worked... what they've been building... a power running game to control the clock and lock up victories... that calls for a RB to put up the above mentioned numbers... and that's what you have to work toward if it's your philosophy.
I can understand the logic too. And I agree. It was tough to see him go, but they had their price point for the running back position and I give them credit for sticking to their plan.
Seriously? Is this the next bull****, revisionist history attempt when it comes to Miller?
He'll be 28 years old when his four year deal ends with the Texans. As if that's somehow a bad thing? The guy literally just turned 25 years old one day ago.
And a veteran, proven NFL running back has zero learning curve by comparison. Been there, done that. I wouldn't waste any more of your time here. This dog won't hunt.
So if Zeke is going to run for 1400-1500 yrds that would he would take what around 300 carries. If so how long is he able to carry that type of load ? There is a very good reason the league went to rotating backs. That's because most backs that carry that kind of load rarely make it to a second contract. Is that the plan then to burn Zeke out in 4 years ?

We already know what's happening at numbers 1 and 2. Those two really no longer figure into the mix. Goff & Wentz are gone. What we don't know is whether San Diego will draft Tunsil and move King over to RT or take what they will consider the BPA in Ramsey.
I'm of the opinion that they will take Ramsey. It's just too tempting there at 3 to grab what most consider the best defensive player on the board. That leaves us with Zeke and makes me very happy to know that our plan B is going to be well executed. Zeke is a dynamic pro bowl caliber back that doesn't come around every year. He immediately changes our offense for the better and makes it dynamic again. The unpredictable nature of the offense that thrived with Demarco will return with some added horses under the hood. Make no mistake, Zeke is a game changer. There aren't many of those in this draft.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that San Diego goes with the sexy pick Thursday night so we can take the even sexier one right behind them.
Man.. You are one cerebral dude!
