I saw the 1990 SB champion NYG play grind it out ball against Buffalo... (I still think NY got lucky in that game IMO)... anyway, that was a workmanlike New York team with a grind it out bunch of blue collar players that did not make mental mistakes to doom the team... vets abounded with plenty of experience... Anderson at RB... our own Everson Walls... Hostetler leading the charge at QB... Friends... we will be cutting good players this year to make room for a very good Cowboy team in 2006.

I also saw the 2003 Tennessee Titans and watched a pretty dang good LBer in Rocky Boiman... I think he wore #50... I saw him return a couple of picks... one for a TD... He has the size needed for this defense and he is a good LBer in coverage... He plays solid in zone coverage. I think he might be a guy for the nickel package... Nevertheless, he doesn't look like just special teams fodder... The plan for Cowboys to rise back to prominence is coming full circle... The linebackers should be really good this year.

I can't wait for TC and I hope for the best of health for all our guys... Our defense is going to be scary good... The offense, which has been lacking in ability to score from any said point on the field just got a helluva lot better with just one person, Terrell Owens... remember even if he is just a one year hit before the attitude boils over, cutting him wont cripple this team because he is getting paid a king's ransom to play in his games. He knows what's up... Furthermore, even if the running game improves just a little... we're talking home run offense... Just thought I'd spill a little of the news yet to come we already know here... It's gonna be good.:p:

I've posted before that Rocky Boiman is more then just a great ST player. The teams we competed against in order to sign him saw Boiman as a starter; Bengals wanted him and Titans wanted him back but no salary cap room. He's a good backup who can play all LB positions in the 4-3 and, given his size, he can do same thing for us in the 3-4--once he learns the positions.

Too many in this forum dismissed him as nothing more then ST fodder after we signed him, but he's much more then that. Several teams wants him including the Bengals & Titans wanted him back but their salary cap situation is a disaster until they cut McNair.
Anyway since Ware, Ayodele, James & Carpenter (and probably Singleton), along with Boiman and Burnett are locks for the team, we've got 1-2 positions open for competition probably between Thornton, Fowler & Shanle; If any of the UNFAs (JJ Horne, Parham, Saldi & Hoyte) show enough, they'll probably go to PS unless 1 of them really shows enough that Parcells unwilling risk trying get him thru waivers. That would make things interesting.
