Saw him coming in to the gym as I was exiting 24 hr fitness today. He may have gone to play ball as Oliver Miller (remember him?...lol Big O) came in shortly afterwards. Surely Bowen can go to Valley Ranch and workout right or is his contract up?

Are they not permitted to work out there as part of the offseason rules that doesn't allow you to be at Valley Ranch more than a certain amount of time?

I'm not sure on how those rules go for the NFL and the offseason for players.

Obviously he's too busy 'not caring' to be at Valley Ranch. Maybe Terrell Owens 'distracts' him when he works out at the team facility. Could be that the strength and conditioning coach is inept (blame Cupcake Phillips and Jagoff Jerruh), hence the proneness to injuries in 08. Next season is already over and it hasn't even begun.

Or maybe Valley Ranch has already been taken over by Spike TV cameras and players are not permitted for a few months?

Looks like the presence of guys like TO, Tank and Pacman has even started to effect character guys like Bowen. I mean working out at a commercial. That's a great way to get scrum pox.:

No. They can go anytime they want to work out at Valley Ranch. They have a key pad where they can enter the facility anytime they want. Even ex-Cowboys players and players from other teams can do that as long as they call ahead.

I don't remember who it was, but I read wher somebody from the Browns would lift at VR in the off-season because he lived near by.

What they're not allowed to do is have formal practices, or team mandated workouts.

You mean the same strength and conditioning coach that Parcells specifically kept?

TO would work out at the 24 hour fitness downtown during the season. I think its just a matter of convenience. You wouldn't even think to approach him though. You just knew he wasn't there to be bothered.

Funny thing is, he didn't even have a membership. He'd just walk right in, and go workout. The people who worked there wouldn't say a thing.

LOL. Of course not. Why would they? Being able to tell people that TO works out in their gym is good enough for them to not worry about something like a membership with him.

I'm sure that happens with a lot of star players in probably every town.

Hahaha I remember Oliver Miller from like NBA2k on Sega Dreamcast. I'd always put him in but his stamina was so low that he would always come out the first or second whistle.

See this was the stuff I wasn't sure about. I didn't know if they had rules against that or not.
