Depends on who he is targeting. I think Hundey, they would probably be lucky to be able to get between 33-40. Petty and Grayson is possible could be there in the early 3rd ( which Im assuming is our extra pick). Good chance Petty is gone before that.

I would rather take a HB with that early 2nd and get a CB at the bottom of our 2nd.

A trade down will be dependent on who is available at 27, not on targetting a QB, IMO.

They are more likely to trade up or trade a future pick if they see a player at a specific spot. They were going to trade a future pick last year to take Trai Turner in the 3rd.

Seeing as how this is a weak QB draft, I'd prefer we wait till late to take one (around the 6th). Chris Bonner's the guy I like and I think he has as much upside as anyone, but he's going to need time (which is fine because Romo's not going anywhere soon).

I think that here, in the twilight of Romo's career they should keep an eye out for a QB that the scouting department and coaches really like and think will be a very good player... then, if they can get him, then do it. I don't think they should say, "this is the year we need to find Romo's replacement" and then try to find one.If they don't really, really like a guy this year then don't do it. If they really, really do, then pull the trigger.

In other words, I think they should get the QB when talent, value, and opportunity is there and not just because it is time. If they think Petty is all that, then do what you must. If the scouts think that he might end up ok, then do not do it. Wait until next year or the next. Don't just get a QB because it is time.

I wish they would have made a move to get Garropolo (assuming they liked him as much as I did). IMO he is going to be a really good player. Not to mention it would have been cool having another Eastern Illinois QB, lol.
