I will give them credit - hitting on multiple big $$$ defensive free agents is really hard to do.

Just ask the Philly "dream team" circa 2011. Millions and millions spent on the defense and they were (and still kinda are) hot garbage.

Eli must be the best bad Qb that Ive seen. Cant believe heve won 2 rings already. But you cant take away em from him.

He's definitely had an odd career.
Few people realize that for as long as he's been around, those two magical SB runs are it for him.
Every other year the Giants have been in the playoffs with him--which is not that often--they have been one and done. 3 times one and done.
Except for maybe 1-2 years, most of his regular season have been very average, and occasionally full seasons of terrible.

But he did play well--real solid, not spectacular--in both SB runs. And the defenses were playing out of their minds. I mean, they held the highest scoring team in NFL history to 14 points in 2007 for the SB. Heck, they held our Cowboys to 17 that year too.
He's been blessed for a couple of stretches for sure.

Eli was straight trash. Dak was terrible but if Eli didnt hit a 5 yard pass to ODB and watch him run 60 yards, they actually somehow lose that game.

Do you think loading up on defense is better than loading up on offense? We spent a.ot of money and draft picks on our Oline and offense, the did the opposite

The Giants in particular have been an anomaly. Since realignment the only two teams to feature more FA's than Draftees are the 07 and 11 Giants.

I don't think the Giants are all that great. Their defense is good, but not that good.

We have a skewed view because their defense plays us really well against us.

Watching their offense, I'm thinking it will never quite "click" and it's mostly Eli's doing.

They should make it now with a win against us last week. If they had lost, it could have gotten tight. I think they get a wild card. I said the same thing in 2007 aqnd 2011. They would be one and done. But they got favorable matchups early in Tampa (2007) and Atlanta (2011) and parlayed that into SB runs.

As a wild card this year, they will be facing the likes of Atlanta/TB or Detroit.

Still a lot left to play, though.

You would think that the giants are undefeated..... they scored 10 points on Sunday night. Their defense isn't all that, we should of beat them. I bet they lose 2 of the next 3 games.

I give them credit for coming away with the win in both games. I still feel we're the better team and beat ourselves both times. I would like us to focus on defense this offseason like them though.
