Everytime you bring up Jenkins you show that play from last year. Oh look you did it in this thread. Stop talking

:p: Oh look. My criticism of your boy is getting under your skin. Nice. Stop listening.

It's just cute to see you have your caveat in place in case Scandrick struggles. "It's only one game". Yeah ok. And I'm a fan of both of them, I just think Jenkins will show hes better. He had two mental lapses in week 1 and another bad coverage play on Bryant. Then he bounced back with 2 near picks. I want to see what Scandrick does. No excuses

This isn't about excuses genius. It's about figuring out what we have at the cornerback position going forward. TNew will eventually have to be replaced. I happen to believe we already have the replacement on our roster along with the opposite starter for years to come. If that's considered a caveat to you then I simply can't help with that.

Now.. With regard to the Scandrick/Jenkins debate.. or whatever it is.. I happen to be a much bigger believer in Scandrick's work ethic along with his abilities on the football field. Don't get all wadded up just because that's the case. I happen to fully respect your opposing opinion. After all, it's about making the Boys better not necessarily which one of our favorites trumps the other...

Agreed. Hopefully they both have pick 6's on the way to victory.

Never said it did... However, in terms of whether or not it increased or decreased my opinion of his work ethic vs his god given ability, I will let you answer that question.

Really.

Then why did you bring it up? Constantly.

Do you mention Scandrick whiffing completely on Carnell Williams huge run in the 1st quater? Scandrick getting roasted by Sammie Stroughter for a first down? Face planting and making a fool of himself when "attempting" to tackle Derrick Ward late in the 4th quarter on a swing pass? Or getting lucky when Winslow dropped a critical 4th down pass in Scandrick's zone?

These are plays I can pull just from the first game of this season regarding Scandrick.

I can gleam these plays out of that game, re-run them every time this debate comes up and be completely dismissive.

But I won't.

I think both are talented. Scandrick has done NOTHING to justify this love... in fact, the first play he makes will be his FIRST. And the one play you always bring up shouldn't be Jenkins down fall either.

I hate looking at a Draft pick and thinking "we could have had _______________ instead." Especially this early in a player's career. On top of this I genuinely like Mike Jenkins. But man, do I wish we had drafted my boy Antoine Cason. I like what he has done in the NFL better and I think he would be a good Punt Returner in the NFL as he was at Arizona.

I am not down on Jenkins, but I think he gambles too much and relies on his physical gifts over learning the game.

so we can continue playing zone? no thanks

This Scand/Jenkins disscusion makes me think that things are no longer relative but selective.
