Head coach or Oc I would imagine your tight end coaches don't get to say who plays or not they might have input but obviously no one listened to himWho made that decision?

Scandrick is turning into quite the chatter box. He must want a job in media bad.
And if this Witten thing is true, then nothing has changed. I doubt McCarthy is pulling together his staff and the first thing he says is "ya know, I think I am going to hire Jason as my TE coach".
He's being controversial based on stating facts and his opinion though. Its not like he's saying off the wall stuff he's just not the typical analyst guy. It might work for him.His fiancee (ex now? I can't keep up) is a reality TV "star" and social media climber. It appears he's decided to follow the same path. Controversy = views and clicks.
So for me he gets filed into the "actor playing a role" category, just like pro wrestlers and your SAS/Skip types. Listen for entertainment if that's your thing, but not for informed opinions.
I d love t o as a wr coach. He’d teach them to run routes and stay in shape.I've never coached. But I don't want witten. The ultimate progress stopper never helped another te on this team and his boot camp speeches never worked. kudos to the great player he once was. But an emphatic no to witten the coach. Let him earn his stripes elsewhere.
That’s pure conjecture on your part and actually goes against what has been stated-hey but that never stopped anybody on conjecture beforeOh nothing has changed. That's been made clear already.

A lot of people already projecting Witten as a coach on the staff and Rex Ryan even says they will groom him to be the next coach.
Keeping that country club environment in tact.
He also says Byron Jones is probably gone
McCarthy is a reasonable man, but he is not going to load up his coaching staff with cronies from the past regime when his name is atop of the accountability chart. He may want Witten on the staff, but likely not before being shown something first. Being a HOF player doesn't exactly transcend into a coaching career.

TBD. Not based upon playing prowess.why not? He knows what it takes since like you said he was a HOF player.
something insane like offensive coordinator won’t happen. TE coach? Or assistant? Why not? You have to start somewhere.
Oh nothing has changed. That's been made clear already.

No way of knowing unless somebody speaks about it that's part of the problem here everybody has thoughts but we have no clue if they're even close to being correct or not and that includes me when I post because we just don't know and when we are told are we to believe it?I would think so as well. I have to wonder how much he lobbied for Jarwin though. I also have to wonder how much of a liability Jarwins blocking was and if that is the reason he didn't see the field more. Sounds like something Garrett would do.
Lol 1st of all, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that whatever level you’ve coached at has absolutely nothing to do with the NFL. No reason for you to pretend to know what it does/doesn’t take to be an NFL level coach. 2nd, I’m also willing to go out on a limb and say you don’t know Jason Witten. You also don’t have a clue what kind of coach he would make.
But the main issue is that the point of making a coaching change is to change the culture of the team. Jerry seems dead set on maintaining the status quo Cowboy country club.
Eh, I think a lot of teams in the NFL would hire Witten as the TE coach. There's really nobody more qualified.Scandrick is turning into quite the chatter box. He must want a job in media bad.

That was made clear when Jerry has McCarthy stay at his house.Oh nothing has changed. That's been made clear already.
