This matchup alone scares the bleep out of me!

Peppers is the best dlineman in the game as far as I'm concerned...

He has the speed to contain Romo on rollouts and the power to flat out bull rush Columbo...this is the most critical matchup of the game IMO.

Thoughts?

The line has made scrubs look like pro-bowlers. It is a big concern. I would be happy just to put a body on him. If the o-line just gets bull rushed and beat by the defender, I would accept that. It is the time where they miss their assignments that really bugs me. No one blocking Strahan or Arrington was a huge problem. At least if someone is engaged with the defender, it affords the QB a little more time.

Are you saying Pettiti faced Peppers in college? I don't think they ever faced each other. Also, Peppers ate Pettiti alive in pass blocking. We got out of there with a W last year with good run blocking and good running by JJ. I might also add that Gurode played RG that game with Al Johnson at C. Rivera was out.

yeah, its getting old that every week we have to be very worried about a DE or DT. I mean, other teams fans would be thinking about containing a probowl wr or stopping a great rb and how are we gonns stop their playmakers. Instead every week there is some lineman who is going to go unblocked for a large part of the game. i am wondering if other cowboy fans are like me, im actually more nervous when we have the ball then when the other team does. how pathetic is that, they (our oponenets) have as good a chance to score when they are on defense as when they are on offense.

Hey, it could be worse, they could always move him over on Flo.

False start...#76...offense...five yard penalty...repeat 3rd down:banghead:

It will happen during the game, Carolina moves him around on the line, he comes from the QB's blind side sometimes.

by the end of the first quarter

Could be that many....if Dallas gets enough possessions......

Lets see.....Run on first....Pass on 2nd 3rd are sacks.....punt........Steve Smith TD first play.......repeat 3 times.....

yeah, he may have enough time to do it.

You guys have gotta stop, I'm going to this game. I'm actually even more excited about going now that Romo is starting, we'll see what happens.

All we have to do is chip Peppers on his Big Fat Ears, and he will never get near our QB. Anybody got a dog whistle? If we could find one it could keep him busy the rest of the night.

If Romo can get the ball out quickly, then the chance of Peppers getting a sack shrinks.

In this case, I'm all for shrinkage.

Plus, if you watch last Monday's game again, Colombo didn't do that bad of a job on Strahan. He really didn't.

Then again, Strahan is not Peppers. So what do I know.

We have to double-team Peppers; that's all there is to it.

Most likely with Fasano...meaning one less offensive option, but you are right.

One on one with Peppers spells...5 sacks.
