Scary Scenario: Both Styles and Mansoor Delane Are Taken Before 12

Then a trade down is a must. I am against drafting any player who missed his last college season with a serious injury. Drop a few slots, grab a 2nd or 3rd rounder; draft best injury-free history CB; at 20th slot, will Mesidor still be there if his medicals check out?
With the extra 2nd or 3rd, draft a LB
Delane is a beneficiary of a weak draft class and he's probably going to find his true drafting zone (late 1st) once the Combine actually measures his height (that matches his diminutive arm length). Just doesnt have the size and speed to be a 'lockdown CB'.

If that’s the case, and Downs and the consensus top two DE prospects are also gone at 12, you’d have to think one of the top two WR prospects is still there. If so, pick him, and trade Pickens for a 1st and 3rd. Try to get a trade partner for one of your other two 1sts into the late first round, in order to acquire a 2nd or another 3rd, and then fill the remaining defensive needs with that haul of Picks

I'm not a draft guru but I'll put my draft accuracy against anyone's.
Let's me and you post a mock and see who's more accurate.
I have no clue about these players. You can be the most gifted athlete in the world and be a bust because of mental challenges like you and many others here have.

Seems like there's a good chance that Reese, Bailey, Bain, Styles, Downs and Delane will all be gone. If you don't want McCoy, then you better hope he goes ahead of Delane. It's either him at 12 or we're in a poor position to get a top talent on defense.

I would be good with a trade down if that happens with the next group of players that fit our needs (CB Hood, DE Howell, DE Parker, CB Cisse, CB Terrell, S Thienemen, LB Allen and S McNeil-Warren) all in that 20 to 30 range.

it's highly unlikely that will happen, teams value OT or WR way more than LB or Safety.

Trading down at 12 may be the best scenario.

I don’t know if KC would give up their second and 3rd for Pickens, but if they would, that’s probably in the wheelhouse of the what Pickens is worth. If you get those two picks you could add some
Legit talent to this defense, and open up your options with those first two picks.

Every draft the worry is nobody we want falls and every once in a whlle it comes true but the vast majority someone does fall.

That's only six out of 11 players that will be chosen before we select. I'd expect the other five to be a QB, a WR, an RB and a couple of OTs. The six we want are rated higher than most of those, even though one is a linebacker and one is a safety. I hope one slides to us, but I'm not counting on it

You don't want a player that is already over a year recovered from injury but want one that has injury concerns?

Agree but the cowboys feel they can get any injured players and have them assessed by their great medical staff and will get maximum value from said player

screw Mansor, worst thing we could do is take a corner. We need pass rushers incase anyone watched the games this season.
