So were gonna ignore:
1. 6 TOs vs NYG and a pass heavy plan that actually kept them in the game
2. Holding an undefeated team to 17 points
3. Holding St. Louis to 7
4. Playing 70 plays vs SD with an offense that didn't supply the defense with any sort of a rest in the second half. Due to a faulty pass game plan
5. Playing 73 plays vs Den with an offense that didn't think to run some to give the defense a rest
I know injuries, poor play by high draft picks, lack of depth also play a play a part in it, but when does a genius figure out that his offense might need to slow down to give their defensive TEAMMATES a much needed wind to help mask the injuries, poor play by high draft picks, lack of depth or any other factor playing into these guys struggles?
This 2013 team can't afford several stalled drives due to 3rd down drops, sacks in the redzone that take points off the board, 1st and goal passes from within the 5 that stop the clock, false starts, QB Ints late in the game deep in their territory when the oline has shown it can control a game pounding on a team with a healthy featured back that can run clock and not only save Romo from himself but also help keep this failed defense off the field!!
A primarily quick pace inconsistent pass first offensive scheme doesn't help the cause. There are players high up in the organization having a big-pants contest and IMO its Romo and JG. Romo took control of Garrett's offense and he's butthurt. Now Garrett is consistently questioning on the DL directly or indirectly Romo decisions and audible to the media.
Garrett resents Romo and Romo is hell bent on proving hes an elite QB that can lead Dallas to a SB via pass! Garrett is losing this team and Romo is losing respect from his defensive teammates (see Hatcher's rant). Hatchers rant is kinda ironic now that the defense has played 143 snaps in the last 2 games (losses) while getting destroyed from poor play and fatigue if its true Hatch was indeed peeved with all of the passes. Think Hatch knew something? I do!!
