Raiders just released Schaub , Would you rather have him or Weeden as a backup?

If commitment was equal and nothing else to choose from- Schaub, but not by a longshot.
Weeden is... nothing. A big ol' nothing. At least Schaub is a little bit of... something.

Schaub's clearly a hard worker, what's not to love?

Jerry did say he wanted to get better QB play from the backup position. Jerry loves bringing in those vets that have a lot of experience. At one point Schaub and Romo were kinda on the same 2nd tier at their position.

Then why are we talking about Matt Schaub?

Jerry loves bringing in those vets that have a lot of experience. At one point Schaub and Romo were kinda on the same 2nd tier at their position.

Living in Houston I saw every game Schaub played as a Texan, and I promise you this - on his best day he couldn't carry Romo's jock. At this point he's no better than Weeden.

He is horrible. His last year in Houston was a disaster and he was an interception machine. One of the weakest arms out there. It's a pop gun now at 34. The guy is a mental case with no arm that may hold a clipboard in Denver because of Kubiak. Seriously he's horrible now and was a system guy before.

Schaub went 4 straight games throwing a pick 6.... that's what put him in Oakland to begin with... then he couldn't keep
a 2nd round rookie on the bench.... stick with what we got for now... If Romo goes down, its over either way.

Personally I would like to see some effort made at upgrading the backup QB position, but Schaub ain't the answer. He's done.
