In what world would a player have the power to make Goodell do this? Zeke has no leverage here. At the end of the day, the Commissioner (IMO), holds are the cards. I see no way the courts will rule in favor of Elliott.

The K-nick protest started with just one guy and they are still tiptoeing through that minefield, with no end in sight. K-nick certainly got their attention. If you are the owners, you don't want this to air in public and potentially blow up like K-nick. You don't want this to blow up into a media frenzy, where a case could be made, that the league is railroading an innocent man and his reputation, in order to look PC.

Schefter is such a joke. Shanahan used to do the same thing with him in both Denver and Washington. Whenever Shanny wanted to float some info to the masses, he'd do so through Schefter anonymously.

He's wrong plenty but he was right about the suspensions when most of us were in denial.

He's fairly reliable, IMO. I think Jay Glazer is probably at the top of the heap, but Schefter is pretty close to the top.

What I don't get is this: Schefter surely was told about the Investigator that was testifying and the details surrounding this. But instead of just saying so, he says he has a "gut feeling" about a reduction. Thats not a gut feeling. Thats a game changer. Why is Schefter acting so coy?
