It's mind boggling to think that the Cowboys didn't go for the touchdown on
3rd down after seeing Folk's horrible pregame practice. What the friggin heck were they thinking?

Bush league reporting. He's obviously making an assumption. There is no way a reporter from BSPN factually knows that a player lost his job 30 mins after the game.

Matt Mosely once told Matt McBriar immediately after a game that he was going to be cut because he supposedly read Parcells' lips after McBriar shanked a punt against the Skins. Mosely is not a trained lip reader, either.

This type of journalism has helped Mosely win awards and eventually get promoted to working for BSPN.

I think you're really being cruel to bush league reporters when you put the BSPN guys in their category.

You know Schefter used to be pretty good about getting his facts straight instead of being first but ever since he's been elevated to the "Mort Assistant" level more of his stuff appears to be a rush to be first. That's disappointing.

The Cowboys should have an idea of what's out there and should be ready to make the switch.

Folk is done for the year. He either accepts IR (assuming that's a possibility) or gets cut Monday morning. No one will claim him if he gets cut.

Final kicking tryouts for the job will be held Sunday and Monday. Hopefully, the East Coast snowstorm and weather doesn't hinder the potential kickers coming to Dallas.

It ain't funny how McBriar was lying to cover his buddy. That crap has to stop. McBriar blaming the holds for Folk's misses.

There are some good kickers coming out of college this year and wil be available in the draft.

Look for the Cowboys to use a 4th or 5th on a kicker in this year's draft.

NFL Network is reporting that my 86 year old blind grandma is on Jerry's private jet en route to Dallas & will be assuming the kicking duties for the Cowboys......................... in other developments, Nick Folk was acquired by the senior center and cut after failing to crown one of his checkers

put Folk on IR, see if some silly team tries to offer you a pick for him in the off-season.

Don't just cut him.

A pick for the lowest success percentage kicker on a roster in the NFL?

We won big today, but the situation with Folk and McBriar is troubling. McBriar was clearly taking the blame for his buddy and just hoping he would pull out of it in time. That didn't happen and we are now down to the last 2 games with a kicker on his second holder missing chip shot FGs.

In all honesty, I 'd rather have a team full of guys who would "take one for their buddy" than a room full of finger pointers. The "take one for your buddy" team is going to win more games.

Maybe, but we are in trouble if we can't find a reliable kicker in the next couple of days. McBriar's actions have made that more difficult. Does he want to win or does he want his buddy to keep his job?

I agree with you. I really like Folk, but he's not the best option right now.

His head just isn't in it and that COULD HAVE cost us the game...you HAVE to get rid of him.....there are other kickers out there.

He's lucky our defense stepped up....that was ridiculous!
Call me crazy...and I'm sure a number of you will. Somehow Dallas needs to stash him and hold on to him 'til next year. I don't trust him this year, but next year may be a different story.

Oh, I agree 100%. And McBriar has been playing the media not the team itself. They know damn well that it hasn't been Mcbriar's fault. It's in Folk's head. They changed Romo to hold to try and get the mental funk out. It didn't happen. Ever since McBriar took the heat, the TV cameras have focused in on his holds. They didn't find any evidence of McBriar being at fault.
