Schlereth: I wouldn't invest two cents in George Pickens

Yes it is.

I like what i have seen from him so far. Not near the headcase he was advertised. He has some antics but what WR doesnt?

Maybe the future will prove me a liar. But as i said i like what i have seen rom him so far. He also took over when CD went down and he looked really good over that timespan.
I would like to see them all play together for a couple more years. They could do some damage

That’s why he’s my all time fav. He absolutely burned to win.
Indeed he did.

Zero check out. Zero.

Would catch 12: or 2 but break your back on 3rd and 17 w/2:42 left if that's what it took to win.

Most underrated WR of all time.

He's still a top shelf WR, I would at least franchise tag him.

I think they franchised Cee Dee and he held out . No guarantee he shows up to camp as a matter of fact I doubt he would . You could call his bluff let the fines pile up I guess

Well Jerry needs something to keep the Cowboys in the news next offseason.

Looks like it will be Pickens.

When Pickens came here in hr concern was his tardiness, recklessness, limited route tree, penalties….how he would respond to not getting the football. One of those concerns was not him not giving his all. It was all behavioral. He hasn’t given them ammo until this week. People arr fit sure getting agendas off. Giving guys money is a risk. If it wasn’t Steelers wouldn’t have traded him for a 3rd.

Which btw, head over to the Steelers forum and see how much they hate they traded him away. For a malcontent the majority of those fans seem to want him back.
“Not given them ammo”?
Just 2 weeks back both Pickens and CD did not start because of being late for a meeting and if they were publicly punished you csn bet it wasnt a single incident

Delude yourself if you want but at least dont lie to us

And this is when he is on his best behavior
He needs a huge contract
What will he do when he cannot be cut or disciplined because he is owed 35 million per year

Mark hates the Cowboys, still mad Larry Brown got the best of him in that scuffle

No way I let him leave Dallas this off-season. Figure it out. Make it work.

Pay him and regret it big time

You franchise him. Nothing more.

Some players you don't pay. Pickens is the poster child for that.

He has the same agent as Micah.

That'll go great. Lol

Pay him and regret it forever.

I don’t have an issue paying Pickens, but I think fans need to understand that they’re gonna get clunkers in there some games. It is what it is. Does the good outweigh the bad? I’d say yes.

He’s not on his best behavior. You guys care about 35 million like you are paying it. Late for team meetings is nothing.

Maybe we could put a behavioral clause in the contract, it worked pretty well with Gregory

I wouldn't be surprised if here were more players on the team that has now switched their priorities. Some "business decisions" are being made.

When a player is in his final year of his rookie contract, his goal to to ball out in an effort to attract the contract that will set him and his family up for several years, perhaps even generations.

Going deep in the playoffs would be a benefit for any player who is a free agent at the end of the season. However, if that becomes unattainable, the next thing on their minds is getting out of the season healthy.

Suppose after the kind of season he has, he breaks his leg in a December game. Everything he worked so hard for this season automatically turns to dust. The most important opportunity in the history of his family gets erased. It's a cruel world.

I'm not justifying it, and I don't think it is the right thing to do. I'm just describing what I think might be his perception.

It has to be tough for top-tier players on the final year of their rookie contract to play in meaningless games in December.

Does it matter what “they” say about Brown? This is just a tactic by homers like yourself to distract us from facts

How do you defend his pathetic performance in the biggest game this year? If we win that game we are half game behind Philly today

We should absolutely not pay Pickens because the headaches he brings and his price are not worth the upside
If they tag him they’re paying him $28 million for “the headaches he brings”. So you’re suggesting let him walk away in free agency?
